Research On The Effect Of Acidifier In Lamb, The Suitable Acid-Binding Capacity Level In Diet And Mechanism Of Action

The application effect of the two kind of acidifier on the Saaneng lambs was researched in this experiment by feeding,laboratory analysis determination,digestive physiology;and it was studied further how high acid-binding capacity level was suitable to lambs as well as mechanism.This research divided into two indenpendent experiments.Experiment 1:The effect of acidifier on lambs was researched in this experiment by feeding,digestive physiology.Two treatments and one control each with 6 animals and distributed at equal number in three replicates.Lambs of two treatments were fed two different acidifiers based on the acid-binding capacity level(35.2 mmolHCl/100g),respectively.The control lambs were fed diet with the same formulation as the treatments without acidifier in corporation,show that:1.Weight gain and feed conversion rate(FCR) improved since acidifier inclusion. Acidifier supplementation of Group 1 and Group 2 caused increase significantly in average daily gain(ADG) and feed conversion rate by 26.92%,15.38%(P<0.01) and 21.35%,12.79% (P<0.01).Two acidifier supplementations were obviously(P<0.05) different.2.Health condition improved since acidifier inclusion.Diarrhea rate were decreased compared to the control by 28.65%and 72.73%,respectively.3.Apparent digestibility were increased significantly(P<0.01) compared to the control. Group 1 had best effect,acidifier supplementation of Group 1,Group 2 caused increase in apparent digestibility of CP,GE and DM by 8.32%,4.50%,5.93%and 8.25%,4.20%, 4.21%,respectively.Two acidifier supplementations were not significantly(P>0.05) different in apparent digestibility of CP,GE,but for DM were obviously(P<0.05) different.4.There were different effects in different acidifier supplementation.Acidifier supplementationⅠimproved average daily gain,feed conversion rate,apparent digestibility; acidifier supplementationⅡreduced diarrhea rate.It might be related to the composition of acidifiers or the length of experimental stage.The reason was unknowed,and need to be researched.Experiment 2: The suitable acid-binding capacity levels in diet and mechanism of action researched in this experiment by feeding,digestive physiology,besides assimilation enzyme and blood index.Three treatments and one control each with 6 animals and distributed at equal number in four replicates.Lambs of three treatments was fed three different diets with acidifier supplementationⅠadded based on the acid-binding capacity level(41.3 mmolHCl/100g,39.3 mmolHCl/100g,35.2 mmolHCl/100g,31.1 mmolHCl/100g),respectively.The control lambs were fed diet with the same formulation as the treatments without acidifier in corporation, show that:1.Average daily gain(ADG) and feed conversion rate(FCR)were increased significantly(P<0.01) compared to the control by 14.13%,27.16%,27.71%and 13.39%, 21.35%,21.39%.Acidifier supplementation of Group 2(35.2 mmolHCl/100g) and Group 3 (31.1 mmolHCl/100g) which had best effect.2.Health condition improved since acid-binding capacity level of diet decreased. Diarrhea rate were decreased compared to the control by 36.36%,28.65%and 81.82%,Group 3(31.1 mmolHCl/100g) had best effect in comparison with the control.3.Apparent digestibility were increased significantly(P<0.01) compared to the control since acid-binding capacity level of diet decreased.Group 3(31.1 mmolHCl/100g) had best effect in comparison with the control.4.pH of rumen and duodenum were decreased significantly(P<0.01) compared to the control by 0.24,0.38,0.41 and 0.55,0.58,0.59,respectively.Group 3(31.1 mmolHCl/100g) had best effect in comparison with the control.5.The activity of pepsin,trypsin and pancreatic amylase were increased significantly (P<0.01) compared to the control.The activity of pepsin and trypsin were higher than the activity of pancreatic amylase.The result showed:when acid-binding capacity level were 35.2 mmolHCl/100g,the activity of pepsinand pancreatic amylase were the best.What's more, when acid-binding capacity level was 31.1 mmolHCl/100g,the activity of pepsinand pancreatic amylase was the best.6.Glu,BUN,TP were decreased significantly(P<0.01) compared to the control. Acidifier supplementation of Group 3(31.1 mmolHCl/100g) had best ideal effect in comparison with the control.7.Analyzing the index of production trait,health status,apparent digestibility of nutrient, assimilation enzyme and blood index.The result of this research showed:the best of acid-binding capacity level of diet in lambs were 31.1 mmolHCl/100g.
