| The bamboo shoot-birthing and high-growth law of bamboo shoot and young bamboo,of Bambusa ventricosa McClure,the law of shooting,leaf-growing and fading,the effects of the structure of cluster of bamboo on the variation of stalk shape of the young bamboo,as well as the branch cutting propagation technology,were successively studied from 2005 to 2007,in Xiangcheng nursery of Zhangzhou city,Fujian province,and the results are as follows:(1) Different cutting parts,matrixes and seasons resulted in significant differences on the rooting rate of the Bambusa ventricosa McClure cuttings.In spring,cutting with the base section of math branch,adopting the matrix which was mixed up with 70%yellow soil and 30%fire soil had the best cutting effect,the rooting rate can reach 95%(2) Non-base section-cutting of main branch of Bambusa ventricosa McClure was of great significance,which enriched the cutting material.The best scheme of cutting in the fall is:with the non-base section main branch conduced with the 300ppm NAA,cutting the matrix mixed up with 70%yellow soil and 30%fire soil.The rooting rate was up to 44%.(3) The shooting and leaf-growing of young Bambusa ventricosa McClure had visible time rhythms.The young bamboo,arising from the bamboo shoots born before early September,can finish shooting and growing leaves before the end of that year.Those bamboo shoots born later won't finish shooting and growing leaves until the next April.So,early September is the optimal period for the Bambusa ventricosa McClure bearing young bamboo. The bamboo shoot-birthing period and the shooting period of young bamboo was during 21-32 days,leaf-growing period was during 10-16 days.(4) The foliage leaf of Bambusa ventricosa McClure updated once annually.Significant differences occurred among the four seasons,during which the bamboo leaves fading amount was the largest in winter of litter,and the lest in summer.Therefore,it is recommended that,in October and March of the following year,applied a long-acting fertilizer to supplement the nutrients of the forest land and promote bamboo leaves updating.(5) The bamboo shoot born period of Bambusa ventricosa McClure was more than six months,which can be evidently divided into 3 periods including early period(May-June), peak period(July-August) and late period(September-November).(6) A "slow-fast-slow" rhythm of high-growth was displayed in the bamboo shoot and young bamboo growing period of Bambusa ventricosa McClure.Its average high-growth period was about 6I days,which was significantly shorter than other medium and large sympodial bamboo species and can be divided into the early period,rising period,peak period and late period.During the 4 periods,the growth rate was the fastest in the peak period which was 20 day-long.In this period,the daily average high-growth amount was 2.65cm,and high-growth of the period accounted for 65.9 percent of the young bamboo height.(7) The structure of the cluster of bamboo and the number of the malformation stalk young bamboos of the clump had significant relation with the malformation stalk rate.The number of normal bamboos and the stalk deformities were negative correlation.When the number of the nomal bamboos exceeded a certain amount,the target output of the malformation stalk bamboos significantly declined.(8) The artificial control measures of the structure of bamboo cluster of the prolific high-quality malformation stalk Bambusa ventricosa McClure are as follows:the moderate number of original normal bamboos is 2-3;Reasonable number of erect cluster bamboos, reserved the bamboos of 1-2 year old,ground-diameter ranges froml to 1.5 cm.evenly distributed within each cluster,and each cluster contains 4-6 erect bamboos;Based on the biological characteristics of Bambusa ventricosa McClure that its bamboo shoot born period is from early May to early November,and the rate reaches the peak from early July to early September,after November to next March,adopt some bamboo cluster structural adjustment measures,for example:stub excessive erect bamboos for transplanting;shear the bamboos which is normal stalk,weak,infected by the diseases and insect pest,and aged;get rid of the weak bamboo shoots and normal stalk shoots in the bamboo shoot period... |
