This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of sows' dietary increasing valine and isoleucine on sow's lactation performance,average daily feed intake,milk composition and blood biochemical and some immune indices in suckling pigs.144 France hybrids galaxy Sows were divided into 3 groups(basal diets group,higher valine and isoleucine group and highest valine and isoleucine group),each group containing 48 sows.Basal diets group,higher valine and isoleucine group and highest valine and isoleucine group with basal diets supplemented with valine 0,0.26%, 0.36%and isoleucine 0,0.06%,0.14%respectively.On d 108 of gestation,sows were moved into farrowing house,at which time they were allotted to feed one of the three diets.The results showed that:(1) Litter growth performance:Litter weight at weaning,litter weight gain, average daily gain and survival rate of 21 d weaned piglet were all improved with the valine and isoleucine supplementation.Compared with the basal diets group,higher valine and isoleucine Group got the best result,it improved 14.86%(P<0.01),21.84% (P<0.01),15.90%(P<0.01) and 4.94%(P<0.05) respectively;Highest valine and isoleucine group improved 2.12%(P>0.05),4.04%(P>0.05),2.96%(P>0.05) and 2.89%(P<0.05) respectively.(2) Sows average daily feed intake and return to estrus:Compared with basal diets group,Average daily feed intake of sows of higher valine and isoleucine group between 11 to 15 d,16 to 21d and 1 to 21d highly significantly improved with the valine and isoleucine supplementation(P<0.01),but no significant effect exist between basal diets group and highest valine and isoleucine group.Increasing valine and isoleucine had no effects on sows return to oestrus,oestrus by d 7 postweaning and oestrus by d 14 postweaning(P>0.05).(3) Milk composition:Milk fat,CP,total solid matter,non-fat solid matter at d1 d7 and d15 were all highly significantly improved with the valine and isoleucine supplementation(P<0.01),higher valine and isoleucine group got the best result. Total essential amino acids,total non-essential amino acids and total amino acids in foremilk were all highly significantly improved with the valine and isoleucine supplementation(P<0.01),but no significant effect exit at d 7 and d 15(P>0.05).(4) Blood biochemical,some immune indices and ratio of tummy in suckling pigs:With the valine and isoleucine supplementation,GLU in 10 or 21 d pigs boold serum improved,highest valine and isoleucine group got the significantly effect(P<0.05);BUN in 10 or 21d pigs blood serum depressed,but no significantly effect(P>0.05);IgG in 10 or 21d pig' blood serum all highly significantly improved (P<0.01);but no significantly effect on blood serum's TP,ALB,CHO,GOT,GPT and Amyl(P>0.05).With the valine and isoleucine supplementation,ratio of tummy in suckling pigs depressed,but no significantly effect(P>0.05).From the result above,we can conclude that:increasing valine and isoleucine in sows' diets improved milk composition,which is exactly the reason for reproductive performance of sows improves.
