This research design will be different concentrations of dry powder barks of Eucommia ulmoides leaves as feed additives,in the late Roman powder of egg shell layers as experimental animals,in animal feeding experiments,comparing its production performance egg quality,serum biochemical indices,antioxidant indices and immune indices,screened in this study can adjust the Roman laying hens production performance and the best level of the body's metabolism,and to explore the safety of Eucommla ulmoides leaves in laying hens production amount.360 healthy 42-week-old Roman laying hens with similar weight were randomly divided into 4 groups with 6 replicas.Hens in the control group were fed a corn-soybean meal basal diet,hens in experimental groups were fed the same basal diets with 6 g/kg,12 g/kg and 18 g/kg dry powder of Eucommia ulmoides leaves,respectively.The adjustment period lasted for 7 days,and experimental period lasted for 70 days.The results showed as follows:1)Compared with the control group,egg laying rate and daily egg weight were linearly or quadratically increased with the incremental quantity of Eucommia ulmoides leaves,and feed to egg ratio were linearly or quadratically decreased.2)The yolk color were linearly increased with the incremental quantity of Eucommia ulmoides leaves in the 35 th and 70 th days while the yolk to egg ratio were linearly or quadratically decreased in 35 th and 70 th days.For group feeding 6 g/kg Eucommia ulmoides leaves,eggshell thickness and eggshell strength were lower than the control in the 35 th days.3)Compared with the control group,AST activity was linearly decreased with the incremental quantity of Eucommia ulmoides leaves,there was a trend that LDL-C contents was quadratically decreased,UA contents changed quadratically,and TP contents was linearly decreased4)With the incremental quantity of Eucommia ulmoides leaves,GSH-Px activity was linearly or quadratically increased.5)With the incremental quantity of Eucommia ulmoides leaves,AIV,NDV antibody levels,IgA and IgG contents were linearly or quadratically decreased.6)The economic benefit of laying hens in the group feeding 18 g/kg Eucommia ulmoides leaves was increased by 10.48% compared with the control group.In conclusion,the Eucommia ulmoides leaves can improve the production efficiency of egg chicken in the later stage of egg production,improve the economic benefits and improve the serum biochemical indices of egg chicken and improve the antioxidant capacity of the egg chicken serum.
