Agroforestry in the northeast part of Ulan Buh Desert is an artificial composite system which based on the ecological functioning, taking into account economic and social benefits. At present, the region has built up a large area of shelterbelt system of artificial irrigation, which cause profound changes of regional eco-environment and substantial growth in agricultural income. This shows that agroforestry is an effective way of regional development. Study on the regional agroforestry has provided an important scientific basis.for local sustainable development of agriculture and forestry. In this paper, agroforestry are studied by field observation, local investigation and indoor analysis, biological, economic and social benefits of are analyzed, and comprehensive benefits is evaluated by AHP. And try to discuss the best mode of agroforestry which is suitable for this particular region.The result indicates, the comprehensive benefits of agroforestry and pure woodland system are significantly higher than that of pure farming system. The comprehensive benefits of these agroforestry, 1 row Ulmus pumila L. + 2 rows P. alba war. Pyramidalis Bunge + 1 row Ulmus pumila L. - corn, 1 row Ulmus pumila L. + 2 rows Salix matsudana Koidz + 1 row Ulmus pumila L. - tomato and 2 rows P. nigra L. var. thevestina Bean - sunflower, more than that of the pure woodland -P. alba war. Pyramidalis Bunge woodlots. And their comprehensive benefits are 3.71 times, 2.95 times and 2.77 times than the comprehensive benefits of the pure farming respectively. The comprehensive benefits of the rest agroforestry less than that of the pure woodland. The comprehensive benefits of 3 rows P. nigra L. var. thevestina Bean + 2 rows P. alba war. Pyramidalis Bunge + 3 rows P. nigra L. var. thevestina Bean - corn and 8 rows P. popularis - Watermelon among the agroforestry are almost equal that of the pure woodland. The comprehensive benefits of 2 rows P. Canadensis Moench. Verz. - Watermelon are least and are 1.88 times than that of the pure farming.
