The research was conducted to investigate the effects of prepartum diets varying in NFC/RDP Levels on apparent nutrient digestibility and Serum Biochemical parameters in dairy Cows. Forty-eight transition Holstein cows were randomly allocated into six groups according to the parity, milk production, body weight and body condition score. The NFC/RDP level in theâ… ,â…¡andâ…¢groups was 5.14(â… ), 3.46(â…¡)and 4.00(â…¢), respectively; the NFC/RDP level in theâ…£,â…¤andâ…¥groups was 5.12(â…£), 3.33(â…¤)and 2.87(â…¥), respectively, from the day 28 prior parturtum to calving. After calving, all the cows were offered the same lactation ration to the day 56 postpartum. The result shows as follows:Part 1. Effect of different NFC/RDP levels on the apparent digestibility of nutrient in transition cowsCows fed theâ…¢group diet had higher DMI in postpartum than did cows in other groups(P<0.05); the apparent digestibility of DM,CP,ADF,NDF,Ca and P of cows in theâ…¢group were higher than those of other groups.Part 2. Effect of different NFC/RDP levels on the serum biochemical parameters in transition cowsVariations of Serum Biochemical parameters of cows in theâ…¢group were more benefit to Relieving negative energy balance, reducing the development of kinds of metabolic disease in transition cows.
