In this study, the genetic diversity in 59 Germplasm Resource of sugar beet was assessd using morphological characteristics and SSR markers, and the genetic relationship among the sugsr beet was revealed by cluster analysis at various level. The main results were as follows:1.By the principal component analysis on 15 morphological characteristics ,According to principal component analysis, the accumulative variance contribution of the first four principal components was 67.34%, four indexes were selected by principal component analysis. The clustering analysis was done based on 4 indexes,And the all materials were grouped into different 6 kinds. The euclidean distance of germplasm varied from 0.26 to 6.7, it suggested that the genetic diversity among germplasm was wide.2. 7 SSR Pirmers were screened out from 91 SSR Pirmers used 22 sugar beet. These primers amplified distinct bands, and their polymorphism is also very high .3. 37 allele were detected in 59 varieties using 7 primers, average 5.2 allele Per Prime .The genetic different indexes of all the germplasm varied from 0.18-0.94, average 0.45,suggesting that the genetic diversity among germplasm was wild.4. 59 varieties were classified into 5 groups by UPGMA based on SSR marker.5. Clustering analysis between morphological characteristics and SSR Markers was not very consistent. The former expressed the phenotype diference, accepting the interaction between genotype and Environment Inheritance and expression may not very stable, plant morphology and physiology characteristic may be changed, the latter expressed the entire information of the hereditary geneome, and the result was true and reliable.
