Plant has formed a succession of resistant to insect when cooperating with insects.To explore the mechanism of the resistance of forest tree to insects and breeding new species with resistant is the foundation of Poplar Longhorn Beetle Integrative Management.In recent years,research of the mechanism of physiology resistance of poplar to longhorn beetle mainly focused on water metabolizing,primary metabolizing and secondary metabolizing as well.The nutrition content and the key enzyme and limit enzyme activities in the metabolized approach of ten poplar species were analyzed.Those poplar species are P.pseudo-simonii,P. simonii,P.pseudo-simonii×p.nigra,P.ussuriensis,P.simonii×p.nigra,P.berolinensis, P.'Bailin-2';P.stalinetz,P.Russkii,P.alba×p.berolinensis,which have different resisitances ability to Xylotrechus rusticus(L.).In other to explore the factors that bring different resistence in poplar species.Results showed:1,Water content of poplar has some influence on the growth of Xylotrechus rusticus(L.) larva.In June and July,water content in the phloem of insect-resistant species is higher than that of insent-sttackted species.Highter water content has made against the rate of hatching, because of egg and larva may die from dipping in water.In September and October,water content in the xylem of insect- sttackted species is higher than that of insent- resistant species.It provides hatched larva with abundant water supply.2,There is no obvious order in dissolubility albumen between insect- sttackted species and insent- resistant species.3,When it comes to dissolubility sugger,only in June,dissolubility sugger content in the phloem of insect-resistant species is higher than that of insent-sttackted species.Others have no obvious order.4,During June to October,the PAL,PPO and POD activities of insect-resistant species are higher than that in the nonresistance ones,the CAT and SOD activities have no obvious order,when Xylotrechus rusticus(L.) appears as larva.
