| The Palernbus dermestoides(Fairmaire) belongs to Coleoptera Tenebrionidae As a kind of nutritional therapy and the medicinal purposes insect,The Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire) has greate pharmacologic function or effect.For example,it can reduce the damaged part of the cell of liver,invigorate the blood to remove extravasted blood warm,and improve the immune function of the organism.It is an available resource of animal protein feed,because of its high protein content,rich nutrition,and,easily being absorbed.So its economic efficiency is very huge. The feedstuff of the Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire) is very complex,such as the rice,corn, fine dried noodles,earthnut and safflower,jujube,areca and so on.This experimentation chooses two kinds of feedstuff,medicinal materials and foodstuff,to feed Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire).This paper studied the effect of two kinds of feedstuff to the morphological character,biology characteristic,chemical constitutes and pharmaceutical function of Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire).The purpose is to establish the analytical method of the common trace element of Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire),and through the comparion of the effect of the two kind of the feedstuff,to reach the goal of reducing the cost of the feedstuff and improving the efficiency.The main results were follows:(1) In this experiment different feedstuff such as traditional medicinal materials and grains was used to feed Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire).The results showed that feedstuff only made the progress of growth,develop of those insect quicker,and the time needed to eclosion from pupae into imago of those insects raised,but there was no obvious differences recorded on the posture character and activity degree.(2) This study was conducted to determine the protein,fat,total sugar,ash,amino acids, minerals and trace elements of Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire).The results showed that abundant nutrients were contained by using grain fed and traditional Chinese medicine fed to insect.There was no significant effect on the percent of amino acids,crude protein,crude fat and ash in the body of insect fed by traditional Chinese medicine compared with the grain. Crude protein 22.6%and 22.1%,crude fat 7.9%and 10.9%,ash 1.4%and 1.4%,total sugar 14.0%and 12.4%.EAA/TAA of the two groups was 46.94%and 46.19%while EAA/NEAA was 88.47%and 85.84%.The first limiting amino acid of protein was the amino acid containing sulfur(Met+Cys).The index of the essential amino acid was 99 and 92.Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire) was a kind of better health medicine resource of insect protein, However the content of mineral and trace elements fed by traditional Chinese medicine remarkable higher than by grain. (3) The purpose is to establish the analytical method of the common trace element of Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire),and through the comparion of three kind of digist method, to proved the best of three pretreatment methods is microwave.The insect fed with traditional Chinese medicine:Cu:9.06±0.09,Fe:164.01±2.33,Mg:327.74±43.56,Zn:37.81±0.44,P:5404.14±211.43,Ca:193.02±23.11,Se:0.06±0.00.The insect fed with grains:Cu:10.83±0.11,Fe:280.96±2.52,Mn:1.85±0.01,Mg:323.92±52.71,Zn:79.36±0.86,P:6755.18±324.65,Ca:229.41±32.28,Se:0.299±0.01.(4) This study was conducted to determine effect of Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire) on development and livingness of SOD,CAT of mice.Balb/C mice,Mice were fed 5% powder of Palembus dermestoides(Fairmaire) diet respectively.The results indicated that body weight gain(P＜0.05),activity of SOD(P＜0.05) and activity of POD(P＜0.05) increased significantle with the control group.
