The study includes five parts:(1) the correspondence the relevance of virus detection results of Phalaenopsis between different parts(2) compare with different cultivation environment in Sanya and Beijing, and their impacts on of Phalaenopsis virus(3) high temperature impacts on Phalaenopsis virus.(4) the development of a morbid condition Pathogenesis incidence of the law of different Phalaenopsis varieties and symptoms of different growth periods(5) selection of resistant varieties. The study is supposed to guide production, and to find the effective methods of reducing the damage of virus disease through these five researches. It also aims to master the law of incidences and features of symptoms after the different varieties of Phalaenopsis plants infected. Finally, resistant varieties can be selected and use them in the production. The main results were summarized as followed:1.Once one phalaenopsis plant was infected by virus diseases,DAS-ELISA could effectively detect them from on the plant's leaves, pedicels and root segments. There was no virus detected on 0.5mm root apiex-apical.2 The symptoms of phalaenopsis virus disease in Beijing was much more serious than those in Sanya.3.Though thephalaenopsis virus disease was not removed by high temperature treatment, the appearance of symptoms could be effectively inhibited and the degree was reduced.4.The study includes varieties of phalaenopsis,Summary the different law of incidences on these Phalaenopsis,as following:(1) When the plant was infected with phalaenopsis a virus disease, there would be symptoms on its leaves very soon, but no other symptoms on flowers after blooming.(2) When the plant was infected with phalaenopsis virus disease, there would not be obvious symptoms on its leaves, but others on flowers after blooming would appear evidently radial faded stripes.(3) This variety is very special. After infected, during the early vegetative growth, there would be obvious chlorosis, but it graduallydisappeared following the flowering period. After blooming there were completely no symptoms on leaves. The petals still appeared obvious irregular radial faded stripes, but the symptoms on leaves, after flowers wither, gradually resume.(4) After infected, there would be obvious virus symptoms both on leaves during vegetative growth stage and on petals during reproductive growth stage. This phenomenon is common.(5) After infected, there would be no virus symptoms both on leaves and petals.5.Resistant varieties were classified into two categories and some of them were selected. One category was completely resistant varieties-asymptomatic varieties on leaves and petals after infected, such as No.9006,No.315,No.TGO4 and so on.The other category was not completely resistant varieties-obvious virus disease symptoms on leaves after infected, but completely normal and excellent viewing characteristics on petals, such as No.9001,No.322, and No.96.6.When the phalaenopsis was alone infected by CymMV,sometimes there would be no symptoms. But when the plant was infected by both ORSV and CymMv,they would accelerate the performance of the disease.
