Studies On The Callus Induction And Multiplication Of Herbaceous Peony

Paeonia lactiflora is the traditional famous flower of our country,it can be ornamental and medicinal.In this paper,the stem segments,petioles and leaves of the cultivars'Tao Hua Fei Xue'and 'Da Fu Gui' were used to be the explants.The callus was induced and propagated,in order to offer the basis for the tissue culture and rapid propagation of herbaceous peony.Main results were as follows:1.It would be better if the sampling time is earlier,and the explants should be young and tender.2.The best explant was stem segments.3.The mixing effects of 6-BA NAA and 2,4-D was beneficial to the callus induction.Further experimental should be done,in order to find out the specific concentration of them.4.The best suitable callus multiplication media were l/2MS+2,4-D1.0mg/L+6-BA1.5mg/L,or 1/2MS+NAA0.5mg/L+2,4-D 0.5mg/L+6-BA2.0 mg/L.5.More works should be done to make the callus differentiate into plantlets.
