Soil animals,the constituents of terrestrial ecosystem,are important consumers and special decomposers,and they are unusually significative to ecosystem.So the study on soil animals has extremely high learning signifcance and practical value.In this article,we selected soil animals at different altitude gradient habitats in the of FuNiu mountain of Henan province as studing object.In September 2008,we finished the field sampling, and investigated the composition of soil animal's community,vertical distribution,the diversity dynamic,similarity coefficient and the correlation between soil animals and soil factors.The purpose is to discussing the influence of different altitude gradient for the soil animals,the roles of soil animals in forest ecosystem,and providing the science foundation for the forest management and construction of the natural reserve.The results showed that we obtained 29 groups,3121 soil animals in the study section that belong to 4 pHylum,9class.The dominant groups are Coleoptera and Namatoda,the common groups are GeopHilomorpHa,Opisthopora,GeopHilomorpHa,ScolopendromorpHa,Araneida, Acarina,Collembola,Hymenoptera,Diptera,Juliformia,Plesiopora,LithobiomorpHa and Coleoptera,the rest is rare groups.The vertical distribution of soil animals at different altitude is descending with the increasing of depth of soil layers.Thereinto the individual numbers put up obvious nature of surface gathering,and the numbers of groups are equable descending.The trend of the changes in the diversity of soil animals was coincident with their numbers of groups.Statistics analysis was indicated that the trend of the changes in the diversity index(H')was coincident with that of eveness index(J),and not contrary to that of dominance index(D),but was variated to that richness index(Dmg)with different habitats.There was high comparability among the soil animals community at different altitude gradient.By the clustering analyse,we have divided these communities into three kinds.The main reason that affected dynamics of soil animals diversity and c comparability was the different soil environment because of different habitats.When consider synthetically the influence of soil factors on dynamics of soil animals diversity at different altitude, because of the habitat difference,the main influence factors is also different.The analyse shows that the organic matter and soil pH are the main factors which influenced soil animal diversity.
