An experiment about two diets of different composition of Rana dybowskii tadpole was studied from March to May, 2008 at a frog breeding in Lianjiangkou Jiamusi. Frog species introduction, tadpole feed and management were also discussed. Tadpole was divided into three groups: A, B and C. Group A and C come from the semi-manual cultured frog while B from the artificial cultured. The results showed that the tadpoles of group A and B fed diet T1 had heavier body weight and higher body length than the tadpoles of group C fed diet T2 in 41 and 46 tadpole period. There was a significant difference between tadpole weight of group A and C in 41 and 46 period (P<0.05) and there was no significant difference between tadpole weight of group A and B (P>0.05), Tadpole metamorphism rate of A, B and C group was 98.4%, 79.7% and 97.5% respectively. The time of metamorphism were not different significantly among these groups (P>0.05). Tadpole survival rate was above 95% of each group. The feed utilization ratio of T1 was higher than T2.Growth and development of the forest frog (Rana dybowskii) in a frog farm in Jiamusi city, Heilongjiang province was surveyed from April to October, 2008. Data on body weight (y), body length (1), fore (f) and posterior limb length (x) and head width (z) was collected. The breeding suggestions to artificial raising were discussed. The results showed that growth speed of body weight, body length, fore and posterior limb length and head width of 1 and 2 years old frog was higher than three years old. Weight of one, two and three years old frogs was 6.85±1.82g, 15.68±2.52g and 28.31±3.02g respectively. Average weight of three years old frogs was content with the selling request, but two years old frogs was not.For frogs of one and two years old, the highest absolute growth ratio was recorded in June, while for frogs of three years old, in May and August. Results also showed that one and three years old frogs have a highest relative growth value in May, while two years in July. Frogs grew quickly from June to September. There is great significance between body weight of one years frogs form different parents (P<0.05). There was great correlation between body measurement and body weight of frogs (P<0.01). An optimal regression equation y=-18.374+4.417x+1.246z (R=0.923,R2=0.853, corrected R = 0.851) was obtained between the body weight and two body measurement.
