| In recent years, China has been developing Chinese-style cigarettes based on improving the quality and characteristics of tobacco leaves. The main flue-cured tobacco production provinces are making efforts to dig the potential of the local unique flue-cured tobacco and carry out the standardized production. At present, the most unique flue-cured tobacco cultivars are CB-1 and Hongda in Fujian Province. However, it is difficult to promote their cultivation area because of the limited study on their curing characteristics and matching technologies. This study mainly includes two contents. The first one focuses on curing characteristics and the appropriate maturity, harvesting mode and curing techniques for unique tobacco. The second is to explore the basic meaning and some quantitative indicators of the curing properties. Therefore, we studied the curing characteristics, maturity, harvesting mode and curing technology of Fujian unique tobacco to offer reference for further work. The main conclusions are as follows:1.The curing properties of unique tobacco were obviously different from the control variety, Yunyan85. In total, the contents of pigment, water and chemical constituents of the unique tobacco varied regularly during curing process and were significantly different from that of Yunyan85. Overall, the curing characteristics of CB-1 and Hongda are bad, but that of Yunyan85 are better.2.With the increasing of maturity of the middle leaves, their total sugar, reducing sugar, starch and potassium contents decreased, while their total nitrogen and nicotine contents increased with little change in chlorine content. And the chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll and carotenoid contents of fresh middle leaves generally decreased as their maturity increased. The pigment content of the veins was far less than that of the leaves. The results show that postponing harvest can improve the usability of tobacco.3.The harvesting modes of CB-1 and Hongda affected their chemical constituents to some extent, the most part of chemical constituents were significantly different under different harvesting modes. The effects of treatment B (harvesting 5 times) and treatment C (harvesting with stalk) were better.4.The most part of chemical composition contents of CB-1 and Hongda were significantly different under different curing conditions. The effects of yellowing temperature and yellowing degree on them were different. The chemical components of CB-1 leaves were more harmonious when they were yellowed 70%-80% at 38℃. However, the chemical components of Hongda leaves were more harmonious when they were yellowing 80%-90% degree at 36℃. |
