Jilin is a major agricultural province in China with an increasing fertilizer input, especially on some major crops such as corn, rice and soybean. However, fertilizer input is decided in according to practical experiences rather than experiment demonstration data. This paper is to establish a technology index system of corn fertilization in different areas in Jilin Province. The auther will define soil nutrient status in each area- the content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the soil, the inputs of the three nutrients in soils of every different level, thus provides reliable theoretical basis for planting, and eventually improve corn production in Jilin. And the paper is also to give farmers advices on fertilizer input, and to standardize agricultural fertilization and production.By carrying out farm testings in 26 cities and 262 testing points, analyzing the 2006 and 2007 testing results by methods of indoor analysis and statistics, this paper tries to compare the different nutrient conditions in different soils systems and establish the different fertilizer technique index in different areas.Through the analyzing results,we will learn that the nitrogin(N) distribution in the East and the West of Jilin is in basic agreement.N in East(95%) and the Middle(85%) is of medium level, with the N content within the range of 60 mg/kg~160 mg/kg.N in the West is in lower level,80%of the West soil is in low nutrient level, with the N content within the range of 50 mg/kg~100 mg/kg,and 10%is in extremely low level. And according to the different N nutrient conditions,in the East,Middle and West of Jilin province the maximum N input for corn is 180 kg/hm~2,175 kg/hm~2,180 kg/hm~2,then the most economic input is 165 kg/hm~2,155 kg/hm~2 and 165 kg/hm~2.The available P in most areas in Jilin belongs to low level(54%) and medium level(32%). The lands of different P levels are distributed evenly in the Middle.Available P is lower in the West and higher in the Middle.According to the different P nutrient conditions in Jilin, when P is within low level, the maximum P input for corn in the East is 70 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 65 kg/hm~2;the maximum P input in the West is 95 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 85 kg/hm~2;and the maximum P input in the Middle is 90 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 80 kg/hm~2.When P is within medium level, the maximum P input for corn in the East is 65 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 55 kg/hm~2;the maximum P input in the West is 85 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 70 kg/hm~2;and the maximum P input in the Middle is 85 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 70 kg/hm~2.There is much difference in P inputs in the areas in the Middle. Jilin enjoys relatively high levels of potassium(K) in the soil;K content in 90%of the entire region is medium or high level. When the K content is within middle level, there is not much difference among K inputs for corn in the three areas:the maximum K input is 85 kg/hm~2, and the most economic input is 75 kg/hm~2.When the K is within high level, the maximum K input in the East is 80 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 70 kg/hm~2;the maximum K input in the West is 75 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 65 kg/hm~2;the maximum K input in the Middle is 70 kg/hm~2,and the most economic input is 60 kg/hm~2.
