In this study,the content of proanthocyanidin of apricot,grape,pomegranate,walnut,elaeagnus angustifolia,medlar,European plum,cherry plum,mulberry,black currant,quince that grow in Xinjiang were determined.The extracting technology of proanthocyanidin from elaeagnus angustifolia,cherry plum and medlar were studied.According to the results,identified three kinds of fruit proanthocyanidin extracted more appropriate conditions.The paper evaluates the development and comprehensive utilization of fruit characteristics in Xinjiang with proanthocyanidin ingredients of fruit.The main findings are as follows:1.The proanthocyanidin content in fruit was determined by HCl-n-butanol colorimetry with ferric ions as catalysis agent.The results showed that the most of the fruit contained proanthocyanidin,proanthocyanidin content was between 6.644μg/g to 31.817μg/g.Individual fruits contained trace proanthocyanidin so that the test was not found.The grape seed of proanthocyanidin content was up to 31.817μg/g,elaeagnus angustifolia of proanthocyanidin was 21.398μg/g.About cherry plum,European plum,quince,mulberry and walnut,it's different varieties or types of procyanidins obvious differences in content.The content of procyanidins was different in the same varieties or types of fruit of different parts.2.Extraction of proanthocyanidin from elaeagnus angustifolia,cherry plum and medlar were studied.Effects from sieve mesh,extraction solvent,time and feedstock ratio solvent on extraction result were studied and optimal conditions were determined.Elaeagnus angustifolia fruit was sifted through a 0.3 mm sieve,PC can be completely extracted by water for duration 5 hours at a ratio material to water 1:8.Cherry plum was sifted through a 0.3 mm sieve,PC can be completely extracted by water for duration 5 hours at a ratio material to water 1:5.Medlar was sifted through a 0.45 mm sieve,PC can be completely extracted by water for duration 2 hours at a ratio material to water 1:8.3.This paper studied Xinjiang special fruit processing and utilization based upon the field survey and literatures . Analyzed the status of fruit production , storage and processing of Xinjiang ,proanthocyanidin in Xinjiang special fruit and fruit resources of development and comprehensive utilization was evaluated.
