Seedling nursing is an indispensable and important part of rice cultivation. The research and development of composite rice seedling substrate which has the ability of substrate, nutrition, acid modulation and disease-control, is important to simplify the seedling cultivation, improve plant antiviral ability and increase crop yield. Furthermore, the industrial production of the composite rice seedling substrate can drive the specialization, standardization and commercialization of agricultural means of production, realize the aim that arm agriculture with modern means of production, reform agriculture with modern science and technology, promote agriculture with modern industrial system, propel agriculture with modern management form, lead agriculture with modern development idea. This is very important to promote the progress of seedling nursing, lead the development of seedling substrate industry.This paper studies the acidity adjustment mechanism of peat using the methods of chemical and instrumental analysis. At the same time, referring to the preparation methods of other solid acid, studies the preparation technology of peat solid acid. At last, selects the formula of composite rice seedling substrate using orthogonal experiment design method and tests the seedling culture effect using rice seedling experiment. The results showed that we can prepare the rice solid acid using the carbonization method. The self-made composite nutrient elements can satisfy the nutritional requirement of rice in seedling stage. The peat growing medium can not only be the carrier of solid acid and nutrition, but also be the growing media which is loose and porous, has ventilatory and water retention property and abundant nutrition. The ph value can be stable at 3.5~4.5 which can meet the acid demand of seedling growing and disease resistance. The seedling quality is improved obviously as conventional growing seedlings and the control acid modulation material. This growing medium solves the problem of acidity adjustment in preparing substrate, therefore it has great popularization value.
