Silage corn (Zea mays L.) are cattle, sheep and other ruminant feed fine.Silage corn (Zea mays L.) is fine feed of cattle, sheep and other ruminants .The western region of Heilongjiang Province is one of important milk bases, therefore have a great demand for silage corn.To obtain high-quality, high-yielding silage , the mixture test for two kinds of silage corn in two different growth stages was conducted.Zhongyuandan No.32 and dongqing No.1,Zhongyuandan No.32 and Jidan No.4011,Zhongyuandan No.32 and Yangguang No1,Zhongyuandan No.32 and Jisi NO.9. Various groups were mixed in different lines or in same lines, and both of the two methods were treated with planting ratio of 2:2,2:4 and 4:2. The treated plants were harvested in the end of milk stage.In the field experiment,the main agronomic traits and fresh yield of treated plants were determined,and the time of sowing , springing and harvest were recorded. In the laboratory experiment,the feed quality and dry matter content of products were determined. Single sowing way were taken as control in both field experiment and laboratory experiment. The purpose of the study is to explore the optimal way and harvest period for the mixture of two species of corn silage in different maturity periods,and screen out methods of planting corn silage suitable for the western region of Heilongjiang Province by comprehensive evaluation to various treatments.The main conclusions are as follows:1. There is no significant difference about the main agronomic traits and maturity in the two different harvest periods between mixture sowing and single sowing.2. Compared with single sowing, mixture sowing can increase the fresh yield and dry matter content in the two harvest periods.3. In the two different harvest periods , the contents of crude protein, crude fat and starch of treated plants are higher, while the contents of neutral and acid detergent fiber of treated plants are lower under the treatment of mixture sowing in different lines than the treatment of single sowing in same lines.4.The yield and quality of treated plants were relatively high when Zhongyuandan No.32 were mixed with Dongqing No.1 and Jidan No.4011 with the ratio of 4:2, respectively, or Zhongyuandan No.32 were mixed with Yangguang No.1 and Jisi No.9 with the ratio of 2:4.5.The results evaluated by gray correlation analysis showed that the feed quality and yield were relatively high, and the comprehensive performance value were highest when Zhongyuandan No.32 and Jisi No.9 were mixed with the ratio of 2:4, and the treated plants were harvested in the end of milk stage.
