The content of this paper is part of key science and technology programmes in Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region,which is technology integration and demonstration project of diseases and insect pests prevention and control about the characteristic fruit tree around Tarim Basin (No. 200631102).Forestry disasters happen frequently in our region at the present stage, the loss of forestry gradually increase.As a result,it is very essential to control, monitor and forecast diseases and insect pests.There are a lot of problems in those area.Overall, technology content is low.It is very necessary to improve the level of diseases and insect pests prediction and the forest diseases and insect pests management information system.According to the demands of prevention,treatment and prediction for fruit tree diseases and insect pests, FDPGIS was designed and developed on the principle of software engineering and the study of spatial information processing techniques.It can be achieved with perfecter functions, better interfaces and lower cost in a short period.The main results are listed as the following:1.According to the modern software engineering technology and spiral model,FDPGIS is developed by an object-oriented programming language and a GIS component.This development program shortens development period,cuts down workload and ensures the system stability.2.According to amount of data, technique requirement , finance distribution and so on, the system adopts SuperMap software to develop FDPGIS for naive user.3.Fruit pests and diseases management geographic information system is designed by analyzing the characteristic of SuperMap Objects.In addition, principle of work, part of the system's structure and function are analyzed.4.Based on the spatial information management and analysis, FDPGIS builds geographic database, and achieves the collection, processing and associated spatial data and attribute data on the realization of system software.It changes the fruit industry of pests and diseases information management system to the traditional model, improves efficiency.It can provide decision supporting for managers and users to use spatial data information technique.5.Using SuperMap Objects(SMO) component, all the functions from the simple showing map to the spatial simulation and analysis can be realized. FDPGIS is achieved.6.On account of the Bazhou Kuerle,Luntai,Turpan region conditions,the time series analysis method is used to monitor disaster in our pests and diseases monitoring subsystem.
