Understanding the sublethal effect of pesticides is important for rational application of pesticides. Imidacloprid is a new broad-spectrum pesticides, on aphids and other surcking insect mouthparts has a good control. we studied the sublethal doses of imidacloprid on the Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) biology and ecological characteristics influence, in oder to provide reference on the prevention for Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) and the rational use of imidacloprid . The main results are as follows:The toxicity of the imidacloprid against Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) was tested in lab. The results indicated that the LC50 of imidacloprid was 7.0612 mg/L, and were also determined respectively: LC20: 3.2913 mg/L,LC30: 4.3779 mg/L,LC40: 5.5866 mg/L.The influence law of sublethal doses of imidacloprid on growth and development,life and fecundity of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) was determined. Along with medicament density increaseing, The longevity of adult aphid of F0 generation mostly shortened and the total fecundity decreased. The sublethal doses of imidacloprid also had the obvious influence on F1 generation , but the effective intensity was obviously weakened. The development duration of young aphid of F1 generation was prolonged , fecundity was depressed. but the aphis's life was not influenced remarkably.The experimental population life table on F1 generation was Set up and analyzed. Stressing in the sublethal doses imidacloprid the intrinsic rate of natural,net reproductive rate and finite rate of increase were depressed, mean generation time as well as doubling time were prolonged.The resluts Indicated that the sublethal doses imidacloprid on Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) and the next generation of contemporary growth and development, as well as fecundity had the inhibitory action .
