Study On The Ecological Agriculture Thoughts In Qi Min Yao Shu

Jia Sixie's Qi Min Yao Shu in Beiwei Dynesty is the first of ancient China's four major integrated farming works. Its content covers agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries. It systematically summed up agricultural knowledge and agricultural production technology in Beiwei Dynesty and before it in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, which occupies a pivotal position in the history of China's agricultural development.Qi Min Yao Shu has rich ecological characteristics. It recognizes that agricultural production should be good at using the ecological relationship between biological and environment and among biological, and advocates that we should protect and utilize Biological diversity and maintain the ecological balance of natural agriculture in agricultural production , so as to achieve the sustainable development of agriculture. They are important to the development of modern agriculture.Under the guidance of the Chinese traditional thinking, Jia Sixie considered agricultural production must be based on "Dao Fa Zi Ran", in the other words, to understand the laws of nature, to respect the laws of nature, and to reach harmonious and uniform relationships among Heavens, Earth, Human and Material in agricultural production, and which are the prerequisite for the smooth development of agriculture. Secondly, based on that agriculture is fundamental, Jia Sixie considered that agriculture can offer the human beings food and clothing which are the basis of human existence and national governance. Agriculture is related to a country's prosperity and survival, and to a social harmony and stability, so we should put agriculture in the first place of all the works and firmly develop agriculture. Thirdly, in the process of developing of agriculture, Jia Sixie considered to rationally use the agricultural resources,to adjust and optimize Agro-ecosystem, to propagate and cultivate the fine varieties,to rightly prevent agriculture and natural disasters. Its essence is to ensure the survival and development. Agricultural production should not only pursuit high yield, to meet the requirements of contemporary people; but also pay attention to the protection of the natural ecology, so as to accomplish sustainable health development.Reflecting such a time in which environmental pollution, ecological damage and a series of problems have a serious threat to human survival and social sustainable development. Post-modernism claim that mankind should consciously re-examine our behavior and reflect on the relationship between man and nature, to develop ecological, organic, effective and sustainable agriculture. In some ways, this is connected, compatible to the ecological agriculture thoughts in Qi Min Yao Shu. So while intensifying the introduction of advanced agricultural production technology, improving agricultural output, we should also study and refer to advanced ecological agriculture thoughts in Qi Min Yao Shu, to conform to nature,to love nature, to reach harmonious development between man and nature,to take the road of development of ecological agriculture, to achieve the sustainable development of agriculture,and eventually to establish an ecological and civilized society.
