Lycoris aurea is a kind of perennial herbaceous plant, which has extensive pharmacological action. In this paper,tube-plantlet rapid propagation, adventitious root induction and proliferation were studied systematically on Lycoris aurea. The main contents and results were as follows:1.The best sterilizing condition on bulb explant of Lycoris aurea was studied. The result indicated that if the single squama was used as explant, the bulb can be disinfected by soaking in 1‰HgCl2 solution for 12min. If the dipl-squama was used as explant, firstly soak the bulb in detergent for 10min,then in 70%alcohol for 40s,at last in 1‰HgCl2 solution for 12min.2.The best condition of inducing bulb was studied. The result indicated that dipl-squama used as explant was better than single squamae, the best inoculation season was March. The best inducing condition was that MS+6-BA10mg·L-1+NAA0.5mg·L-1,with 6%sucrose,and illuminated for 12h per day. 3.The best condition of bulblet proliferation was studied. The result indicated that the best condition was MS+6-BA3mg·L-1+NAA 0.5mg·L-1, and illuminated for 12h per day.4.The best condition of rootage was studied. The result indicated that the best condition was that MS+NAA2mg·L-1,and illuminated for 12h per day.5.The best condition of adventitious root induction and propagation was studied. The result indicated that the best inoculation season was March, and in darkness. When dipl-squama used as explant, the best condition of both induction and propagation was that MS+2,4-D 1mg·L-1;When single squama used as explant, the best inducing condition was that MS+NAA 4mg·L-1,and the best propagationg condition was that MS+NAA 1mg·L-1.6.The cultivated adventitious root was tested by TLC.The result indicated that the adventitious root contained galanthamine which is a pharmacological active substance in Lycoris aurea.
