γ-aminobutyric acid(GABA) is one kind of central nerves sedative, whose effects are appeasement, stability, resist to stress and growth promotion for the poultry. The effects ofγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA) on growth performance and blood parameters against Broilers under common or high temperature conditions were studied in this paper.Eight hundred and forty AA Broilers which were 1 day old were investigated by being assigned into five dietary treatments with eight replicates randomly and each replicate had 21 AA Broilers in our experiment 1. The experimental groups were fed basal diet contained GABA 30 mg/kg,50 mg/kg,70 mg/kg,50 mg/kg(drinking). These Broilers were fed for forty two days. Our results showed that the difference between the weight of experimental groups was not significant (p<0.05), and nor were average weight gain, daily feed intake, ratio of feed to gain in 21days. But the difference of 42th day weight between experimental and control group was significant, so were the average weight gain in 22 to 42 and 1to 42 days, but the daily feed intake was not significant. The ratio of feed to gain of the 30mg/kg and drinking experimental groups was lower than the control group. In blood parameters, the GLU,LDH,IL-2 of all group in 21 day was not significant, but the BUN of 50 mg/kg experimental group was greater than the control group. However the CR of the 70 mg/kg and drinking experimental groups were smaller than the control group. The difference of ALT between 50 mg/kg or drinking experimental groups and control group were significant, but the AKP of 70 mg/kg and the T3 of 50 mg/kg was smaller than the control group. And the T4 and COR of 50 mg/kg and the COR of 70 mg/kg was greater than the control group. The difference of GLU,BUN,CR,LDH,AKP,IL-2 in blood in 42 days was not significant. Except the ALT of 50mg/kg, the T3 of 30, 50 mg/kg , drinking and theT4 of 30,50,70 mg/kg, and the COR of drinking experimental groups was greater than the control group. In experiment 2, we selected 18 AA Broilers with three replicates in each group of experiment 1 in the 28th day to feed in man-made lab of heart stress of continue high temperature for fourteen days. Our results showed that the difference weight was not significant. (p>0.05), nor were the average weight gain, daily feed intake, ratio of feed to gain. Except the 50 mg/kg experimental group of 1 week, the difference of respiration rate in one day, one week, and two week was not significant. (p>0.05) When it was heat exposure for one day, the GLU,BUN,ALT,AKP,T3,COR,IL-2 was not quiet, but the T3 was always quiet together with control group. However the GLU,BUN,ALT,AKP,T3,COR,IL-2 after heat exposure 1 week was not quiet, and the CR of drinking group was greater than the control group. And the LDH of all groups was smaller than the control group, but the T4 of the 30mg/kg experiment group was significant. The GLU,BUN,CR,ALT,LDH,AKP,T3,T4,COR,IL-2 when it was heat exposure for 1 day, the difference was always not quiet.(p>0.05)In sum, we can conclude that:1. GABA could increase the body weight ,average daily gain and feed efficiency ,but reduce average appetite. The performance in experience 2 was lower than that in experience 1 indicate that heat exposure could reduce the AA Broilers'performance.2. The influence of GABA to the AA Broilers'blood biochemical indicator, endocrine dysfunction, immunity was limited. Heat exposure cause the enzyme in blood to confuse, enhance the the endocrine dysfunction and immunize dysfunction, and decrease rectal temperature and blood parameters in heart stress of continue high temperature Broilers. Which showed that the mechanism of action of GABA was related to the nerve accommodation.3. Drinking experimental group had its superiority, but the amount of GABA which was feed to AA Broilers was decided by the water. The amount of GABA was more bigger with the AA Broilers intaking more water , and the addition in 21 days should be bigger than 50 mg/kg, however after 21 days that should smaller than 50 mg/kg, which was needed be studied further more.4. 30 mg/kg GABA added into AA Broilers'feed could enhance their performance.
