Effects Of Vitamin C (Ethylcellulose-coated Ascorbic Acid And Ascorbyl Polyphosphate) On Growth Performance, Functions Of Digestion, Absorption, Immune And Antioxidative Of Juvenile Jian Carp (Cyprinus Carpio Var. Jian)

The experiment was conducted to study the Effects of vitamin C(ethylcellulose-coated ascorbic acid and ascorbyl polyphosphate) on growth performance,functions of digestion, absorption,immune and antioxidative of juvenile Jian carp(Cyprinus carpio var.Jian).In this trial,600 juvenile Jian carps(initial weight 12.63±0.04g) were randomly allocated to 4 groups,feeding control diet containing 0.0785 g kg-1 diet of ethylcellulose-coated ascorbic acid(diet containing 75 mg kg-1 vitamin C)(C75 group) or control diet containing 0.1569 g kg-1 diet of ethylcellulose-coated ascorbic acid(diet containing 150 mg kg-1 vitamin C)(C150 group) or control diet containing 0.2151 g kg-1 diet of ascorbyl polyphosphate(diet containing 75 mg kg-1 vitamin C)(LAPP75 group),or control diet containing 0.4302 g kg-1 diet g of ascorbyl polyphosphate(diet containing 150 mg kg-1 vitamin C)(LAPP150 group) for 56 d,respectively.After the growth trial,30 fish in each treatment were randomly assigned to a challenge trial conducted by injection of Aeromonas Hydrophila(AH) for 17 days.Results indicated that when diet added 75 mg kg-1 vitamin C,SGR and FI increased significantly as diet added with ascorbyl polyphosphate compare with added ethylcellulose-coated ascorbic acid(P<0.01).Simultaneously,hepatopancreas weight (HSW),intestine weight(ISW),intestine protein content(IPC),intestine length(IL), intestinal folds height,activity of tryspin,lipase,chymotrypsin in hapatopancreas and intestine brush border enzymes containing alkaline phosphatase(AKP),Na+,K+ -ATPase, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase(γ-GT) and creatine kinase(CK) and immune organ weight,blood hematocyte counts,survival after vaccination,phagocytosis of leucocyte, sim-immunoglobulin M(sim-IgM) levels,anti-AH antibody titers,serum complement C3 and C4 levels,total iron-binding capacity and activity of serum acid phosphatase(ACP) and lysozyme were enhanced(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Meanwhile,LAPP75 group can significantly decreased MDA and protein carbonyl in serum,hapatopancreas,intestine and muscle,and increased the activities of ASA,SOD,GSH-Px,GST and GSH in serum,the ASA,SOD,CAT,GSH-Px,GST and GSH in hapatopancreas tissue,the SOD,CAT,GSH-Px,GR and GSH in intestine,and the SOD,GSH-Px,GST in muscle than C75 group (P<0.01 or P<0.05).Whereas,when added 150 mg kg-1 vitamin C,the SGR and FI are not be affected between LAPP150 group and C150 group(P>0.05).But,LAPP150 group can significantly enhanced the tryspin,chymotrypsin and amylase in hapatopancreas,the tryspin chymotrypsin andγ-GT in intestine,and survival after vaccination,phagocytosis of leucocyte,sim-immunoglobulin M(sim-IgM) levels,total iron-binding capacity,ACP and lysozyme in serum,decreased protein carbonyl in serum,hapatopancreas and intestine,and increased the activities of GR in intestine and hapatopancreas,increased the activities of CAT in hapatopancreas,increased the activities of GSH-Px in serum,increased the count of GSH in serum and hapatopancreas(P<0.01 or P<0.05).In summary,the effect of ascorbyl polyphosphate was better than ethylcellulose-coated ascorbic acid for Jian carps.Which can improve growth performance,functions of digestion,absorption,immune and antioxidative of juvenile Jian carp(Cyprinus carpio var. Jian)(P<0.01 or P<0.05).
