To study the probiotic effect and its probably mechanisms of Bacillus licheniformis, the changes of mast cell and intraepithelial lymphocyte density, goblet cell area, mucosal thickness, villus height, crypt depth and gut microflora in dysbacteria rat induced by ampicillin were observed. The ampicillin was administrated through drinking water by dose of 1g/kg body weight for 7d to establish detuning model. Then the suspension of Bacillus licheniformis was given to dysbacteria rat by intragastric administration. 14d and 21d later, the index mentioned above were tested respectively. The result indicated that(1) After drinking the ampicillin for 7d, the bacilus and Bacillus/coccus in the faeces decreased (P<0.05). And coccus increased significantly (P<0.05). One week later, the change could not recover to normal, suggesting that the detuning model had been established successfully.(2) Bacteria colony detuning influenced the rat's intestinal tract structure, mast cells, goblet cell and intraepithelial lymphocytes. Compared with the control group, the mucous thickness, villus height, crypt depth of model group assumed the drop tendency. The colon mucous thickness, duodenal crypt depth and jejunum villus height decreased significantly (P<0.05). The mucous thickness of ileal and colon, villus height and crypt depth of ileal decreased (P< 0.05). The mast cell and intraepithelial lymphocyte density decreased (P<0.05). The goblet cell area increased among detuning group (P> 0.05).(3) Bacillus licheniformis had regulating effect on gut micro-ecology. It could speed up the microflora restoration. It also had certain regulating action on the mucous thickness, villus height, crypt depth, mast cell and intraepithelial lymphocyte, especially on ileal and colon structure (P<0.05). But the action on goblet cell area had not been discovered in this experiment.
