Study Of Procyanidins On Broiler Weight Gain And Immune Function

Procyanidins is a pure herbal preparation used for enhancing immunity. In this test we investigated the effects of enhancing immunity and raising productivity of Broiler by feed additive effect of Procyanidins and also the bloody immunity test were included too.In order to verify the weight gain effect of procyandins feed additive on AA broiler. In this study,300 broilers at 1 day-age were selected and divided into 6 groups for comparative test, each group had 5 repetitions, each repetition had 10 broilers. The group 1 was a control group, fed the basal diet; the group 2,3 and 4 was fed the basal diet+ procyandins (with different scale) and the group 5 and 6 was fed the basal diet+ antibiotics. The experiment lasted 42 days and some weight-gain index was tested. procyandins additive groups indicated an excellent effect for broilers, which not only promoted growth and gained weight, but also enhanced immunity function. The result also showed that biochemical and immunological index of blood of procyandins group were better than that of control group and antibiotics groups. Compared with control group and antibiotics groups on daily weight-gain, procyandins additive groups showed an remarkable excellent effect. Also compared with antibiotics groups (with aureomycin and Kitasamycin) procyandins group showed an remarkable effect in Bursa, spleen, thymus index, total number of T lymphocytes and enhance the giant phagocyte of albino.As a result procyandins feed additives could promote broilers growth and enhance immunity function and it open up a new way to Ecological farming broilers.
