| Beautiful landscape is the most basic elements of the space environment and is directly related to the overall level and quality in a living environment of the community. How to make plant landscape adapt to the modern residential architecture, to meet the living is the important issues to be solved to improve the living quality of living communities.Currently, most of the Plant landscape spatial structure is not mature in living communities of China.There are still many problems in creating plant landscape space in Chongqing residential communities. Based on the results of the existing research from home and abroad,taking residential plant landscape space in Chongqing City as a typical object in this paper. Selecting 10 living communities have been built as a typical case, the current situation of their landscape plants have been surveyed and researched.Based on the analysis of various types of characteristics and functions of external space environment in Chongqing residential community, place the current problem and actual situation of creating plant landscape space in Chongqing. Various factors in creating the plant landscape space of living community in Chongqing have been analysised and the species characteristics of plant in Chongqing have been summarized. Principles and approaches of creating a plant landscape space have been studied and proposed in Chongqing residential plant landscape construction.Trying to create special methodes of plant landscape spaces of residential communities in Chongqing, combined with geographical features of Chongqing, to be a guidances and references of improving the future constructure of living envornmenting in Chongqing community.
