In this study, Bai Yan 2 and Bai Yan 8 of Jilin academy of agricultural sciences cultivating were experiment material and the experiment was conducted in experimental base of Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University in 2008. With two factor randomized block design, the effect of fertilizer and density on growth of oats and the effect of salt stress on growth and physiology of oats were studied, findings of the study were as follows:1. Fertilizer and density have a significant impact on the plant height of oats, the plant height of low-fertilizer, high-density being higher and the plant height of high-fertilizer, low-density being also higher, which is lower than the former. Fertilizer and density have a extreme significance for ear length of oats, which ear length of different fertilizer is middle-level when density being 525 thousants plant /hm2 and ear length of oats is enhanced with density increasing when fertilizer being 90 kg/hm2.2. When density being 150kg/hm2 and density being 675 thousands plants/hm2, the highest grain yield of oats every area is 2300 kg/hm2, which shows that middle-fertilizer, high-density planting is suitable for oats cultivating to obtain higher seeds yield. The effect of oats every area grain yield on hay, fresh grass and biological yield is consistent, all of which the highest yield is also the combination of fertilizer being 120kg/hm2 and density being 675 thousants/hm2. The effect of fertilization, density, the interaction between fertilizer and density on hay and fresh grass yield have reached a extreme significance. All of seed and forage yield is steady, which enhancement single yield is obvious with density increasing.3.When salt density being 0.2%, seedling rate of oats is not affected, which being slightly higher than control group. Seedling rate of oats is gradually decreased when salt density being more than 0.2% and when salt density being 1.2%, no mergence is appeared. All of the plant height, single plant leaf area and plant fresh weight in different stage is lower than control group and the dry matter amount of plant is more obvious than control group with growth developmental stage promoting.4.Proline and malondialdehyde content of oats in growth developmental stage have obvious enhancement than control group under salt stress, which shows that oats plant can keep activity of plant absorbing water and steady cell metabolism by active autoregulation to decrease cell osmotic potential. When salt density 0.2%, peroxidase and superoxide dismutase of leaf is the most active, which activity is decreased with salt stress aggravating. Under salt stress, all of oats plant ear and grain numbers were decreased, which affected oats yielt. When salt density being 0.2%, the growth situation of oats has no significance than control group, which shows than oats have a certain salt-tolerance. The oats can also grow when being low-salt density.
