The four-year-old grafted seedlings of Prunus cerasifera var. arropurea, Prunus×cistenena'Pissardii', Prunus×bliriana'Meirenmei', Prunus wrasifers'nigra'in Prunus were used to study chlorophyll content, carotenoid content, anthocyanin content ,leafcolor paramete(rL*,a*,b*),osmotic adjusting matters and the activity of leafed enzyme in order to explore the relationship between leaf-colored . A high per-formance liquid chromatography with a photodiode array detector(HPLC-PAD) and HPLC electrospray ioni-zationmass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS) methods were employed for qualitative analysis of anthocyanins . The results indicated that:(1)As the season changed , pigment Content in four species leaf-colored plants of Prunus showed a probabelly similar trend, anthocyanin content in P. wrasifers'nigra'which was stable in the year was extremely significant higher than the other three species of plants(P<0.01),but the content of chlorophyll and carotenoid and toal phenol in P.×bliriana'Meirenmei'which was stable in the year were significantly lower than the other three species of plants(P<0.05), the content of flavondis in P. cerasifera var. arropurea which was stable in the year were significantly lower than the other three species of plants(P<0.05); as the season changed , the ratio of pigment Content in Four Species of Prunus was possiblely similar; the leaf of P. wrasifers'nigra'whose anthocyanin content was highest in the seson kept mauve and the ratio of it was stable ,but the ratio of P.×bliriana'Meirenmei'reversed, the change process of its leave color wasred-green-red. (2) As the season varietied leafcolor parameter(L*,a*,b*) in four species leaf-colored plants of P. changed, P. wrasifers'nigra'changed stably, but P.×bliriana'Meirenmei'reversed, b*-value differences among the four species was extremely significant level (p <0.01) and a*- value achieved a significant level (p <0.05).(3) As the season changed , souble suger in four species leaf-colored plants of Prunus was increased–decreased- increased , the changed steadily souble suger P. wrasifers'nigra'was significantly higher than other three species of plants(P<0.05); starch in four species leaf-colored plants of Prunus was decreased- increased -decreased , difference was not in four species leaf-colored plants. (4)As the season changed ,the activity of PAL enzyme and CHI enzyme in four species leaf-colored plants of Prunus was increased–decreased- increased, the activity of PAL enzyme and CHI enzyme in P.×cistenena'Pissardii'was extremely significant higher than the other three species of plants(P<0.01).(5) Significantly positive correlations or extreme one between a*-value of four species and anthocyanin content ;significantly negitive correlations or extreme one between a*-value of four species and chlorophyll content and flavondis; significantly positive correlations or extreme one between chlorophyll content and carotenoid content; significantly positive correlations or extreme one between souble and anthocyanin content; the correlations between L*-value, b*-value and four kinds pigment content , souble , PAL was various with different species . The quantity of anthocyanin and chlorophyll decide to the size of a*-value , but to L*-value and b*-value , they were not main factor.(6) The difference determination of anthocyanins was in four species leaf-colored plants of Prunus. P. cerasifera var. arropurea had Cyandin; P.×cistenena'Pissardii'had Cyandin and Peonidin;P. wrasifers'nigra'had Cyandin , Peonidin and Pelargonidin; P.×bliriana'Meirenmei'had Cyandin and Pelargonidin.
