The important content of Modernization manufacturing practices of Chinese herbal medicine is the quality of Chinese medicinal herbs and plants grown in the pollution-free, and promoting the use of eco-fertilizers and bio-pesticide to protect the environment via what Chinese herbal medicine production and ecological environment can develop harmoniously.Salvia miltiorrhiza species are not resource for state elections ,combined with excessive use of various fertilizers and pesticides, leading to a serious decline in Salvia miltiorrhiza mass and quality. AM fungi can form symbiotic relationships with most of the plants, known as "eco-fertilizer." In this study, medicinal plants and AM fungi in a symbiotic relationship is as a starting point to study the market in AM fungal germplasm resources, ecological distribution, and its correlation with soil factors around rhizosphere of Yasukuni medicinal plants-Salvia miltiorrhiza in Hebei Province. On the one hand,it is to provide evidence to improve soil enviroment by making full use of AM fungal germplasm resources and to improve yield and quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza. On the other hand to provide planting materials for the standardized Chinese herbal medicine and scientific basis. Main results are following:(1) AM fungi around Salvia miltiorrhiza rhizosphere in Anguo of Hebei Province is rich. Four genera and twenty-four species of AM fungi were isolated and identified from four plots :including sixteen species of Glomus ; five species of Acaulospora; two species of Scutellospora;one species of Entrophospora.(2) Different species of AM fungi are in different ecological environment .The species of Glomus is dominant fungi, the species of Acaulospora are the second , and the species of Scutellospora and Entrophospora is the less.(3) The result showed that the good symbioses relation was formed between AM fungi and Salvia miltiorrhiza, the average total colonization of AM fungi was 71.25%, and the average spore density was 1896.67 ind·100g-1.(4) In this survey the mycorrhizal types were intermediate type and arum type. The great mass of hyphas were nonseptate, few were septate and morphology various vesicles.(5) The experiment results indicate the spatial and temporal distribution of AM fungi is regular : in the temporality, the growth and development of the AM fungi have close correlations with seasonal transformations. And with the development of the AM fungi , its colonization rate will be presented in a certain range of increasing trend; in the spatiality, different plots and different soil environment will lead to different distribution characteristics of AM fungi.(6) Soil available N, Soil available P, soil organic carbon, Urease and phosphatase exhibits a correlation with arbuscular colonization and spore density in a different degree.Showed that soil conditions were important factors to the AM fungi. And in order to provide scientific basis for the further assessment of environmental conditions of Chinese herbal medicine and its security ,we should make much research of the correlativity of AM fungi and soil enzyme activities.(7) The result shows that the percentages of glomalin in the soil organic carbon is 14%~17.6%.That shows that the AM fungi and glomalin could be one of the main contributions of soil organic carbon. And the glomalin in the soil can be used as a valid assessment of the activity of AM fungi and soil ecological status of effectively.(8) To research the distribution of AM fungi and its activity systematically ,it is have the great significance to improve and promote the yield and quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza. And AM fungal colonization structure, the spore density, the glomalin and soil factors can be used as valid assessments of the formation of the symbiont of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and host plant and soil ecological status of effectively.
