Corn combine Harvester is a hot topic of current research, Snapping stick gearbox is a key component of Corn Combine Harvester, Therefore, it has great significance in improving harvester performance, operational reliability, cost and so on. It also providing theoretical basis and has a guiding role for optimizing the gear.In this article, the corn harvester snapping stick gearbox as the research object, by using the 3D graphics software Pro/E for the three-dimensional parametric modeling, and use of software ADAMS which devoted to develop the machinery virtual prototype to simulation and analysis. Finally, the gear which is the critical components of gearbox was optimized.1. According to the gearbox model drawings and map the actual model, establish the three-dimensional Parameters model, which have reference value for setting up the gear box in the future and save a lot of time, at the same time get ready for the follow-up simulation and optimization.2. Based on the modeling, though the special interface software Mech/Pro, import the model into ADAMS. Then add a variety of Pairs, driving and impact force etc, so as to ensure description of the model accurately and simulation of the actual model's movement and performance better.3. Carrying out kinematics and dynamics simulation of gearbox in ADAMS, analysis the speed,the force and torque of the drive shaft and all gears, the analysis results show that the analysis values and theoretical values are similar; From the simulation results can be seen that the model in line with the actual model and have the ability to meet the practical needs.4. The parts of gearbox are optimized by means of MATLAB. Reducing the volume can lead to decrease the stable of transmission. In order to prevent this from happening, so reducing the volume and improving the smoothness are optimal objects. By programming under certain constraint condition, the purpose of the size reduction and improved driving stability achieved.
