Corn is the main food crop in our country and it is also high-quality feedstuff and medicine, chemical raw material. The seeds and stalks of corn are valuable resources. The planting areas and the stalks output of corn are huge in our country. However, without appropriate machinery, the mechanization of corn production and the stalks comprehensive use are very low, which lead to a wasteful use of resources of the stalks. In order to resolve the problem, one of the effective ways is to realize the combine harvester for corn and stalk.The corn harvesting machines have a great variety at home and abroad. But there is a little to suit our country's high moisture content corns. In the subject, a new combine harvester for corn and stalk is developed which based on the absorbing foreign advanced technology and the innovate and optimize design combined models of corn and feed processing needs.The structure of double header is pioneering in domestic. In this model, the upper header harvest stalk and the lower header harvest corn, and they are independently adjustable. Wide mouth trackwheel combined with Wo-chain feeding agencies greatly improved the adaptability for cropping pattern in China. They also enhance the feeding ability and basic achieve no-row harvest. Using new low-loss snapping agencies, this model reducing the early broken stems and grain loss and improved snapping quality. The first time, reciprocating cutter and stalk auger are used in the harvest for stalk crop and the model achieve smooth stalk silage feeding and evenly chopped. The machine is modular in design. Hydromechatronics Technology is applied to lifting of header, unloading, adjustment for status of throwing device, and so on, which all increased automation and standardization of the products. Chassis used on the wheat combine harvester parts, it can reduce costs and shorten the manufacturing time. The machine has compact structure, perfect function and low cost. It has achieved the effective integration of design and agronomy.In the process of research, the acquired experience and theoreticalt are sufficiently utilized as well as the methods of practice and theories linkup each other. Some improvement and innovation are done so as to meet the market demands.
