This research takes four kinds of turfgrass seeds in constant temperature incubator as the object of study, including Lolium perenne L., Festuca arundinacea, Trifolium repens L. and Cynodon dactylon L.. It studies the effects of different temperatures, different proportions of medium, different water levels of medium and different levels of salt (NaCl) stress on the seeds germination, seedling growth and root architecture condition of 4 turfgrass, in order to determine the suitable green plant varieties for local growth, and to provide the theory basis for the soil desertification government. The main results are as follows:Optimum germination temperature for 4 turfgrass is 25℃; optimum water level of medium for 4 turfgrass is 60%~80% of maximum field capacity; optimum proportion of medium is Lava: Ceramsite=50%:50%.The best growing condition for Lolium perenne L., Festuca arundinacea and Trifolium repens L. is at 20℃; 25℃is the best growth temperature for Cynodon dactylon L. seeds. The impacts of salt stress on rate of seedlings emergenc, seedling growth and root architecture are significant, and the impaction is more significant while salt stress is rising. The seeds can not germinate when salt concentration is too high. Different kinds of turfgrass have different salt-avoiding abilities. As salt concentration increasing from 0, a certain degree of salt-avoiding is showed by Lolium perenne L. There is no significant impact on rate of seedlings emergenc, seedling growth and root architecture when NaCl concentration is lower than 0.68%; when it reaches 1.52%, seedlings emergenc and growth of Lolium perenne L. reduce rapidly, showing significant difference compared with CK; seedlings emergenc, seedling growth and root architecture of Festuca arundinacea reduce insignificantly compared with CK when NaCl concentration is lower than 0.45%; the impacts on seedling growth and root architecture is significant when NaCl concentration is higher than 0.68%; seedlings emergenc, seedling growth and root architecture of Trifolium repens L. and Cynodon dactylon L. are suppressed significantly compared with CK when NaCl concentration is 0.30%, and the suppression is more deeply while NaCl concentration is increasing; the seeds can not germinate when NaCl concentration is 3.00%.Lolium perenne L. has not only the largest adaptation range of temperature and soil moisture, but the best salt-avoiding ability as well. Therefore, it has strong adaptability to local abandoned mine areas, and Festuca arundinacea takes the second place.
