At present, the improvement of beef industry faces to stress from quality elevation and from competition of moderate-and-high-grade beef production in and out of our country. Although the quantity of the beef at this level is small, it has a high production value and it can't be ignored according to the fact that the increasing of food production should be judged by its value instead of the production quantity. Therefore, promoting beef quantity and its competition power is a criticality in order to promote improvement of the beef industry to a higher step. Among all the factors that influence the safety of livestock products and fishery product, feeder additive is the primary one. As a kind of new-green feeder additive, Penergetic-t has a unique function on improving beef quality. This test is mainly to study the effect on rumen environment and beef production by feeding Yan Bian Yellow Cattle Penergetic-t as a feeder additive. In order to illuminate the using effect, this test included two parts:the effect on rumen environment of Yan Bian Yellow Cattle; the effect on beef production of Yan Bian Yellow Cattle.Test 1:In this test, we used 2*2 Latin square design and selected two healthy Yanbian Yellow Cattle with similar weight, which were assembled permanent rumen fist.. Added Penergetic-t (600mg/day each cattle) into the trial group to study the effect on rumen environment. The result shows:3h later after feeding, pH value both reached the lowest level in each group(at range of 5.98-6.85), then as time passed, it recovered to the level before feeding gradually, and there were no significant differences at any time point between the two groups. It had no significant difference in NH3-N concentration and BCP level between the two groups, whereas the depress of NH3-N concentration is profit for BCP production. As for the concentration of Total VFA and acetic acid in rumen fluid, it had a higher level in trial group than that in control group and there were significant differences at 3h,6h and 9h(P<0.05). It had no notable difference in butyric acid concentration between two groups. The value of acetic acid/butyric acid was higher in control group than that in trial group, however it had no notable difference.Test 2:Selected 12 aged about Yanbian Yellow Cattle, which had been castrated, with similar weight(480kg BW), and fractionated them into two groups randomly: trial group and control group. Added Penergetic-t into the concentrate feed of trial group and with no addition in the control group to study the effect of Penergetic-t on performance of beef production, feeder availability, the biochemical indicator of serum and quality of naked body. The result shows:After 120 days, the average of total body weight gain and daily weight gain of cattles in trial group were 71.7kg and 0.6kg respectively and were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05); The concentrate feed efficiency of trial group was 0.12,and there was no significant difference compared with control group.The biochemical indicator of serum. The Total albumen,Globulin,LDH content in serum of trial group were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.05), as a result, it enhanced immunity; The serum urea nitrogen TG and ALP content of trial group were significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05). The level of essential amino acid and non-essential amino acid content of trial group has increased 12.72% and 10.94% respectively than that of control group, and the phenylalanine, lysine and proline acid content of trial group were significantly higher than those of control group(P<0.05).In a word, adding Penergetic-t could raise the rumen-fermentation efficiency and had raised the quantity of tropina protein and the concentration of total VFA and propionic acid. Penergetic-t was help to enhance substance metabolism process, raise immunity, abatage yield and muscular apparatus area, increase the content of linoleic acid which is unsaturated beef production acid, improve the beef flavor and quality and increase the content of essential amino acid, especially the content of glumatic acid that is relation to beef flavour.
