Cotton top-cutting is an indispensable part of the process in growth of cotton , it plays an important role to increase and save water . There is heavy workload, multi-input, low efficiency in the process of cotton top-cutting ,so it has seriously hampered the modernization of Xinjiang's cotton industry in the process.The first round"3DDF-8-type cotton topping machine"was field tested, and data analysis was used to improve the design of the"3DDF-1800-type cotton topping machine", We getting the results that the design is reasonable by using of visual virtual design , FEM Law, and other means. These improve efficiency, cost savings.In this paper, the following methods were used in design verification and important results were obtained:1. fatigue analysis and strength checking on working Axis has been carried out based on the field testing ,so that the foundation of its improving design can be achieved.2. the design of a new improvements according to calculations as follows: the adjustment mode, frame changes, the main shaft of the optimization and simulation line of wheel design.3. Modeling and finite element analysis of the improved rack by SolidWorks , the results show that the strength of the rack to meet the requirements and saving material.4. Determination of rotational speed of tractor moving and the working parts,kinematic analysis of working parts and dynamic analysis of working parts through Cosmosmotion, the results coincide with the theoretical results to verify the design is reasonable that Improving design efficiency and reducing costs.5. Results of the spindle strength checking by Cosmosworks show that, after 10 6times of the cycle, the minimum safety factor is 2.93, the overall fatigue life of the main shaft is adequate and the safety factor is sufficient.
