This article features some unique biology features of Commelina benghalensis,a commonly known malignant weed, through field observation, data analysis,2D-electrophoresis and karyotype analysis,we found:(1)The increase of leaf area showed a exponential growth during 4 weeks of growth, which could totaled up to 300cm2;(2)Blooming period lasted from early June till the end of October. Its flowering characteristics were easily affected by external factors i.e. temperature, humidity;(3) Till middle of August, spathes with unisexual flowers were the most common part of whole spathe types;then till late September came the ones without unisexual flowers;and then, the spathe with only one cleistogamous bisexual flower came out on top;(4)The rate of cleistogamous aerial flowers reduced significantly after the removal of the spathes;(5)The span of two pedals showed significant negative correlation with its distance to the upper rim of the spathe;the further the distance, the higher possbility that the cleistogamous flower could be.(6)The initial position of curved style for both aerial and subterrean spathes seemed to show significant negative correlation with the height of spathe. The taller the spathe, the higher the tendency to curve leftward.(7)Co-mobility effect had been found on two chasmogamous bisexual flowers during blooming stage. The motion of one style would always follow the other.(8)Stamens and style were found to interact with each other during blooming. The style coiled around the filaments of 3 fertile stamens, brang its stigma contact to the dehiscing anthers, ensuring a good seed set, which could be recognized as a delayed selfing mechanism.Aerial and subterranean buds shared the similar interaction mechanisms, the main difference lied in that styles diden't straighten out during the whole process. The filaments of above three bud types all underwent a coiling procedure similar to the coiling of styles late in the whole interaction process.( 9 ) Not any proof could be gained from diferent emasculation combination experiment, which showed different kinds of stamens had different effect on the motion of the style. The style coiled afterward, possiblly the number of coils inferior to that of a normal one. (10)5 differential proteins were identified through 2D electrophoresis on aerial unisexual, bisexual and subterranean buds, they were Monodehydroascorbate reductase, phenyl coumaran benzylic ether reductase, GF14 protein, Manganese Superoxide Dismutase and alpha tubulin.(11) Karyotype analysis of root tip somatic cells from 4 types of seeds were carried out using Photoshop CS3 respectively. The results were as follows:all Somatic metaphase showing 22 chromosomes , but karyotype formula slightly varied from one to another , they were:AB(aerial big seeds) 2n=22=8m+12sm+2st,AS(aerial small seeds) 2n =22 =14m +8sm,SB(Subterranean big seeds) 2n=22=2m+16sm+4st,SS(subterranean small seeds) 2n=22=14m+ 6sm+2st.
