| Guniujiang Nature Reserve is a national nature reserve with complex vegetation community structure and abundant wild ornamental plant resources. This paper found out that there are 176 families, 594 genera and 1210 species of higher plants in Guniujiang Nature Reserve, including 140 families, 491 genera and 944 species of wild ornamental plants. Among the wild ornamental plants, Asteraceae has the most species. Fagaceae has the most arbors, the next are Lauraceae, Rosaceae, Aceraceae and Aquifoliaceae; Rosaceae has the most shrubs; Asteraceae has the most herbs (73 species). The biggest genera are Acer and Rubus (14 species). As for flora of wild ornamental plants, the area has typical characteristios of subtropical and temperate zone. There are many endemic species in the nature reserve, such as Monimopetalum chinense, Wikstroemia glabra f. purpurea, Acer anhweiense, Primula erodioides and Speirantha gardenii; there are also many ancient and relic plants, such as Tapiscia sinensis, Torreya grandis'Merrillii'and Ginkgo biloba. In the nature reserve, there are 59 ornamental flower arbors, 119 flower shrubs, 273 flower herbs, 129 ornamental foliage plants, 131 ornamental fruit plants, 96 ornamental shape plants, 84 vines, 31 rock plants, 27 hygrophytes, 300 health-care or medicinal plants.Using Wu Xuxia's evalution system, development and utilization value of 128 wild ornamental woody plants was evaluated. The results indicate that 29 plants are of extremely high utilization value, 32 plants are of quite high utilization value, 48 plants are of ordinary utilization value, 19 plants are of low utilization value. Based on the practice of Chizhou, 18 plants were introduced and domesticated. From the perspective of landscape application, plant communities were analyzed by ecological methods. The results show: (1) obvious advantage of dominant species in communities and species richness coexist; (2) structure of most communities is stable; (3) many communities are of unique community type. 7 reformed natural communities with high landscape application value were introduced. Finally, principals and countermeasures of sustainable use were proposed, and countermeasures to strengthening the protection of wild ornamental plants were put forward. |
