In order to determine appropriate zinc and cooper, two experiments were conducted to study the influence of different zinc and cooper levels on growth performance, serum biochemical parameters, intestinal flora. Expriment 1 256 healthy piglets were randomely assigned to eight treatments:,four treatments for 100mg/kg,3000mg/kg,3500mg/kg,4000mg/kg ZnO dietary, four treatments for 40mg/kg,300mg/kg,350mg/kg,400mg/kg Zn-Met dietary. Each treatment has four repeats. Each experiment was conducted for 18 days. The experiment began on 18 day and finished on 35 day.The results showed that 3000mg/kg,3500mg/kg,4000mg/kg Zn from Zno had greater ADFI ,ADG ,plasma zinc concentration, and Lower FD(P<0.05).The 3500mg/kg Zn from ZnO was the best concentration.Piglets fed 300mg/kg,350mg/kg,400mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met had greater ADFI,ADG ,plasma zinc concentration, and lower FD(P<0.05) than 40mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met.350mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met was the best concentration. So it was feasible to feed 350mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met instead of 3500mg/kg Zn from ZnO in the piglet ration.Experiment 2 256 healthy piglets were randomely assigned to eight treatments:four treatments for 100mg/kg,150mg/kg,250mg/kg,300mg/kg CuSO4 dietary, four treatments for 100mg/kg,150mg/kg,250mg/kg,300mg/kg Cu-Met dietary. Each treatment has four repeats. Each experiment was conducted for 60 days. The effects of different levels of dietary CuSO4 and Cu-Met on growth performance ,serum parameters, and intestinal flora was examined. Piglets were weighed on day 0,20,40 and 60 of the trial.Blood samples were collected for measurement of biochemical parameters on d 0,20,40 and 60of the experiment. The results showed that absolute weight, average daily gain and feed gain were improved by feeding 150mg/kg,250mg/kg,300mg/kg of Cu.Feed intake was not affected by adding Cu in the diets. The activities of CuZn-superoxide dismutase, alkaline aminotransferase in serum were increased by supplement with various levels of Cu in diets. However, there was little or no variation in serum lactate dehydrogenase and cholinesterase activity by Cu treatment. There was no variation on intestinal flora by Cu treatment, either. In summary,Cu-stimulated growth was largely dependent on a dimultaneous increase in protein digestion and synthesis. It was feasible to feed 250mg/kg Cu-met and CuSO4 in the piglet ration.
