In this study, comprehensive nutritional value, the theoretical yield carrying capacity, nutritional carrying capacity of 18 kinds of the main types of native grassland herbage were researched in Xinghai and Tongde county Hainan Prefecture of the Origin of Three Rivers. The results were as follows:(1) The range of yield of fresh grass ,dry matter, edible grass and the production of DM were 91.33 g/m2~870.89 g/m2,36.13 g/m2~209.99 g/m2,4.64 g/m2~192.66 g/m2,32.66 g/m2~181.91 g/m2, respectively.(2) The conventional nutrients of 18 native grass pasture types indicated that the content of CP, EE, ADF, Ash, Ca and P were 8.59 %~13.57 %,1.47 %~4.23 %,25.54 %~40.84 %,3.23 %~8.73 %,0.11 %~0.78 %,0.05 %~0.26 %, respectively. The ratio of Ca / P was0.45:1~6.06:1, and the average content of conventional nutrients were 11.28 %,2.63 %,31.15 %,5.53 %,0.28 %,0.13 %, respectively. The average ratio of Ca / P was 2:1.(3) After fermentation of 18 types of native grass pastures in vitro, 48 h gas production, dry matter digestibility were 47.26 ml~71.76 ml,51.14%~73.09%, based on the content of CP and EE, the values of OMD, DE and ME was estimated by 24 hours, which were 51.97 %~72.23 %,9.69 MJ/kg~13.46 MJ/kg,7.58 MJ/kg~11.15 MJ/kg.(4) Output of grassland nutrition: the nutrition range of output indicators of 18 types of native grass pasture: EDDM, DE, ME, CP, EE, ADF, Ash, Ca and P were 24.66 g/m2~144.82 g/m2, 0.42 MJ/m2~1.97 MJ/m2, 0.36 MJ/m2~1.61 MJ/m2, 3.63 g/m2~19.95 g/m2, 1.03 g/m2~6.50 g/m2,10.41 g/m2~75.41 g/m2, 1.26 g/m2~13.42 g/m2, 0.06 g/m2~0.80 g/m2, 0.02 g/m2~0.24 g/m2,respectively.(5) Comparative production carrying capacity and nutritional carrying capacity, nutritional carrying capacity are much larger than production carrying capacity ( the theoretical yield, DCP and ME average carrying capacity were 2.10 Sheep Unit/ha.,3.85 Sheep Unit / ha.,3.48 Sheep Unit/ha.,respectively ). In the actual use of the grass, we should combine with two kinds of calculation methods to evaluate the carrying capacity of native grass, which will help determine a more reasonable pasture carrying capacity and effectively prevent degradation of natural grassland resources.
