Impatiens tienchuanensis is an annual herbage belonging to Balsaminaceae and Impatiens L It often could be founded in wet sides of hillside or roadside at about 1100~1200m altitude in west Sichuan province(Tianquan,Hanyuan). The flower of Impatiens tienchuanensis is mauve and has a good effect for observing when attain a large number. It is a surface plant with a good exploiting potential, although it currently couldn't be researched by anybody in biology field.System master Impatiens tienchuanensis growth and development in Phenological and biological characteristics of different periods can be for breeding, propagation, and garden applications theoretical and practical guidance. Therefore, this paper experiments on their morphological and anatomical characteristics, reproductive characteristics, photosynthesis, and several other aspects of the study; their vegetative growth and flowering and fruiting the whole process was observed and analyzed. The main results are as follows:(1) The roots of Impatiens tienchuanensis mostly distribute under 10-20mm surface of soil. The outer and middle layers of its delicate roots don't differentiate apparently. Compared with old roots, the cells of delicate roots are smaller and arrange more closely. Primary tresses creep to grow, and secondary and tertiary tresses grow vertically. In transverse section of caudex, there are 3 vascular bundles. Vascular bundles have equal size and arrange in one ring. There aren't any apparent secondary bast and ambient fiber. So Impatiens tienchuanensis doesn't have elasticity and couldn't to afford outside mechanical force. Lamina is small and thin. Cells in upper cuticle are bigger than those in lower cuticle. Ektexine cutins of upper and lower cuticle cells are unapparent. Palisade tissues of mesophyll are underdeveloped. Layers of cell are only a few and arrange closely. Sponge tissues are relatively more. Gaps between cells are big. It has a lot of chlorophyl and the configuration of shade-tolerant plant leaf.(2) Wild Impatiens tienchuanensis germinates on early February, leaves on middle February, expands branches between middle February and end March, stops growing on middle October. Florescence is from August to December and fruition is from September to December. Primary, secondary and tertiary tresses grow in S type. Singular blossom exists 6~10d, and singular fruit exists 10~12d.Span between blossom and fruit isn't large, and they are almost in the same period.(3) The curve of netphotosynthetic rate had one peaks on sunny day, The Maximum photosynthetic rate of net photosynthetic rate was 10.99μmol·m-2·s-1, The netphotosynthetic ratewas positively related to transpiration rate and stomatal conductance, and negatively related to Intercellular CO2 concentration。The light compensation point was 6μmol·m-2·s-1, The light saturation point was about 500μmol·m-2·s-1, the Apparent quantum efficiency was 500μ6μmol·m-2·s-1, The photosynthetic characteristics of Impatiens tienchuanensis Y.L.Chen in Acta Phytotax.Sin indicated that Impatiens tienchuanensis Y.L.Chen was a typical Shade-tolerant species.(4) Immerge the seed of Impatiens tienchuanensis into 25℃,250mg.kg-1GA3 concentration liquid for 3 hours to gain the best seed germinant rate—76.4%, and the germinant potential is 58.1% under that circumstance. Impatiens tienchuanensis is root-skin type and belongs to easy-to-root plant. Three kinds of concentration treatment as IAA 100 mg/L,IBA 300 mg/L,NAA 500 mg/L could accelerate rooting. The highest rooting rate is 60% coming from IAA 100mg/L concentration treatment. Seed of Impatiens tienchuanensis could germinate orderly and have a high germinant rate. It could grow quickly. So we suggest seeding to breed in production.
