Idesia polycarpa ,a deciduous tree ,belongs to Idesia Maximof Flacourtiaceae which is one of the most arboreal oil tree crops and which has Strong adaptation ,high yield and high oil content .This article investigates the idesia status of resources and analyzes its oil content,the fat physics and chemistry character, the fatty acid composition and so on by investigating 15 phenotypic traits index including tree height ,diameter at breast height , leaf blade, fruit and so on of Idesia polycarpa from 16 different habitats 8 province .The result showed that:1.The idesia has the distribution in our country 17 provinces, but is mostly extremely fragmentary disperses. Quantity extremely few. Places such as Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Anhui by idesia primarily, places such as Hunan, Hubei, Shanxi, Sichuan by wool leaf idesia majority.2.An extremely rich variation exists in phenotypic traits . The great difference was discovered in coefficient of variation between various characters ranging from 12.65% to 74.22%, while that in fruit traits is minimum .Mean phenotypic differentiation among populations was 50.93% coefficient Vst, indicating that variation among populations has come from within the group, showing the genetic variation of a dual trend。European shortest distance using cluster analysis method, the nine groups were divided into three categories.Describing the traits of extremely rich exists between the various characters variation, the coefficient of variation is large, for 12.65% - 74.22% range, the variation coefficient of fruit characters.3.The oil content in full fruit of Idesia polycarpa is trich, 27.52% on average, up to 42%, lower to 16%.The fruit pulp oil length is more than the entire fruit oil length to be more than the seed oil length.Idesia polycarpa obviously changes with longitude from east to west, the trend of increased oil content.Analysis of variance of fruit weight and oil content phenotypic differentiation factor, results showed: the fruit oil content among provenances variance component was 3.90, 2.98 within the provenance, origin, place of origin is greater than variation within the variation, thus drawn between the phenotype of origin differentiation factor of 56.72. Through the oil content and the coefficient of variation cluster analysis, places in seedling source oil content such as Sichuan, Shanxi are rich, and the variation is stable.4.Idesia polycarpa oil under the condition of 20-25℃in the refractive index range 1.4506 to 1.4869.The average acid values 7.74, iodine values higher, bian site is 109.56-170.32g/100g.5.The fatty acid composition analysis indicated: The fat mainly for the linoleic acid, the oleic acid, the palmitic acid and the physetoleic acid, the linoleic acid content is highest and may reach 75%, the entire fruit unsaturated fatty acid content is 79.81%, the idesia seed unsaturated fatty acid total content scope is 79.18%-88.20%, slightly is higher than the fruit pulp unsaturated fatty acid content.The difference in regional idesia fruit unsaturated fatty acid content is not big, coefficient of variation 1.78-5.62.In the fat 4 principal constituents and the geography information relevance is not obvious, which has not presented the obvious geography change tendency.6. Researchof the seedling stage growth quantity has promulgated idesia Miao Gao and the place diameter growth curve.The growth of seed sources in Fenyi is the fastest.Nursery stock, height of seedling and stem base among 12 habitats achieve the remarkable difference, while differs in the seedling source the different block .7.According to yield per single plant, yield per unit area, the whole dried fruit oil content, fruit number per ear , fruit weight, fruit number of seeds out of six major economic traits ,we carry out principal component analysis of 43 selected Idesia polycarpa .Yield, yield per unit area, all three indicators of fruit oil content has more than 75% contribution rate.43 single plant in accordance with the composite score ranking, were divided into three categories by these three indicators . Three indicators in each category than the overall average is the average of 20%.
