The test was carried out in the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 cropping seasons in Huangfanqu Farm of Henan province. Three tests were designed in the field with clay and sandy loam soil: (1) The effects of straw returning of corn and soybean and increasing nitrogen application on wheat growth and yield; (2) The effects of different ecological organic fertilizer combined with chemical fertilizer application on wheat growth and yield; (3) The effects of straw returning with different crop and ecological organic fertilizer combined with N, P, K chemical fertilizers on wheat growth and yield. The results showed: In the clay soil the appropriate technique with straw returning of corn or soybean and nitrogen fertilizer application to achieve high yield of wheat is that total corn straw returned to the field, 66 kg superphosphate and 18 kg potassium sulfate as base-fertilizer were applied singly in the topsoil, and 41.3 kg urea were applied with 6:4 ratio of base fertilizer and top dressing; total soybean straw returned to the field, 66 kg superphosphate and 18 kg potassium sulfate as base-fertilizer were applied singly in the topsoil, and 30.4 kg urea were applied with 6:4 ratio of base fertilizer and top dressing. In the sandy loam soil the appropriate technique with different ecological organic fertilizer application to achieve high yield of wheat is that 300 kg ecological organic fertilizer, 50 kg superphosphate, 15 kg potassium sulfate were applied as base-fertilizer, and 36.0 kg urea was applied with 21.6 kg as base-fertilizer and 14.4 kg as top dressing. Fertilization technique to achieve high yield of wheat with straw returning of different crops is that in the maize season 100 kg ecological organic fertilizer, 50 kg superphosphate, 8.6 kg potassium sulfate were applied one-time into the topsoil as base-fertilizer, and 29.3 kg urea was applied according to 6:4 ratio of base fertilizer and top dressing fertilizer (17.6 kg urea was applied into topsoil after harrowing as base fertilizer and 11.7 kg urea was applied in the mid-jointing (late March) as top dressing); in the soybean or peanut season 200 kg ecological organic fertilizer, 25 kg superphosphate, 7.2 kg potassium were applied one-time into the topsoil as base-fertilizer, and 26.1 kg urea was applied according to 6:4 ratio of base fertilizer and top dressing fertilizer (15.7 kg urea was applied into topsoil after harrowing as base fertilizer and 10.4 kg urea was applied in the mid-jointing (late March) as top dressing).
