Purpose: To research the characteristic of GLUT expressing abnormally on pulmonary carcinoma cell surface ,and then analyse the clinical value of 18F-FDGγPET for lung cancers. Methods: ?we obtained 40 pulmonary tissues by thoracic operation and bronchoscopy ,then research the expression of GLUT1and GLUT3 on tissues with rabbit anti-GLUT1and anti-GLUT3 polyclonal antiserum using immuohistochemical technique. 0 we selected 30 patients at random with pulmonary abnormal lesions for 18F-FDGγPET, then calculated semiquantitatively L/B of lesions, at last diagnosed them definitely by other clinical methods. Results: ?tissues were divided into primary malignant group and non-malignant group, the positive expression ratio of GLUTlis 79.17% and that of GLUT3 is 75% in malignant group, both of them are not expressed in non-malignant group, difference of the two groups is statistically significant, the expression of GLUT3 and that of.GLUT1 seems to be consistent. 0 patients were divided into benign and malignant groups according the diagnosis of other methods, the malignant group has 18 patients whose average L/B is 4. 488±2. 258, the benign group has 12 patients whose L/B is 2.764±2.074, the comparison of both groups is statistically significant. L/B of malignant lesions is higher than that of benign lesions. the best critical point of L/B is 2. 0 which distinguishes lung cancers from benign diseases, FDG ~PET is 94.4% sensitive, 75% specific and 80% accurate. Conclusion: GLUTS can express abnormally on pulmonary carcinoma cell surfaces , on the basis of which 18F-FDGγy PET is much more better clinical method diagnosing lung cancer...
