Object:To investigate the expression and clinicopathologic significance of glucose transporter-1(Glut-1)in hepatocell?Lar carcinoma. Methods:Application using RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry staining techniques to detect glucose transporter protein 1(Glut-1)in human hepatocell?Lar carcinoma(HCC)tumor tissue and the corresponding expression of the tumor tissue adjacent to carcinoma.Res?Lts:1.Rt-pcr res?Lts show that the Glut of 1 m RNA in hepatocell?Lar carcinoma(HCC)and in the tumor tissue adjacent to carcinoma are expressed, but expressed in hepatocell?Lar carcinoma tissue significantly higher than the amount of tissue adjacent to carcinoma(P < 0.05).2.Immunohistochemical res?Lts show that the Glut-1 in HCC tumor tissues and in the tumor tissue adjacent to carcinoma positive expression rate of 83.0% and 65.0%respectively,the differences between statistically significant(P < 0.01).3.Organization Glut-1 expression in HCC tumors and the tumor size, clinical TNM stage were significantly positive correlation(P < 0.05).4.Expression and overall survival in patients with HCC tumor tissue Glut-1 and relapse-free survival a significant negative correlation(P < 0.01).1.Over-expression of GLU-1 protein in HCC,and it may play an important role in carcinogenesis and the development of HCC.Conclusion:2.The expression of Glut-1 is intimately related with HCC tumor size, clinical TNM staging.3.Glut-1 is a potential marker of prognosis of HCC patients.
