Serum Interleukin2 Level In Patients With Chronic Renal Failure.Relationship To Heat-dampness Syndrome And Soluble Granules Yishenjiangzhuo Therapy

Objectives: To investigate the serum interleukin2 (IL-2) level in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) and the relationship to heat-dampness syndrome. To observe the effect of Soluble Granules Yishenjiangzhuo on the serum IL-2 level in CRF. Materials and Methods: According to the standard in Chinese journal of internal medicine and national symposium of TCM, 34 patients (22 male and 12 famale) with CRF,with an average age of 50.32 ?15.44 years, were observed. Through the TCM differentiation, the 34 patients include 25 with heat- dampness and 9 without heat-dampness (non-heat-dampness). 30 healthy people (19 male and 11 famale) were taken as the normal group, with an average age of 48.80 ?14.17 years. 20 patients took the Soluble Granules Yishenjingzhou (manufactured by pharmacy of Fujian Provincial People抯 Hospital), and their serum LL-2 levels were determined in before and after therapy. Serum IL-2 level were determined by radioimmunoassay (RIA) method. I Results: (1) The serum IL-2 level was significantly increased in patients with CRF compared with the normal group (P<0.05). (2) The serum LL-2 level in uremia stage was also significantly increased compared with the normal group (P<0.05). However, the levels of serum IL-2 had no significant difference between uremia stage and every other stage, among other stages, and between every other stage and normal group (P>0.05). (3) The analysis of correlation showed that the serum IL-2 level was positively correlated to the concentration of serum triglyceride (TG),low density lipoprotein (LDL) (r=0.5 637, 0.4262, P<0.001 ,0.05), negatively correlated to the level of serum calcium (Ca) (r=-0.48,P0.05). (4) The serum IL-2 level in heat-hampness group was remarkably increased compared with non-heat-hampness group and normal group (P<0.0 1), but the serum IL-2 levels had no obvious difference between non-heat-hampness group and normal group (P>0.05).The heat-hampness integral was positively correlated to the level of serum IL-2 (r=0.4378,P<0.01).
