Diabetes mellius is a common disease of metabolic disorder, whose pathogeny and pathogenesis are not yet completely discovered to us at present, but the basic pathology is hyposecretion of insulin. According to the report written by the International Diabetes Leagues, there are more than 1.2 hundred millions patients who suffer from Diabetes and the number is still increasing by 1. 2% per year. To date we treat these persons with some medicine except insulin supplement, but these treatments have a lot of side effects, so researches are eager to find new medicine which is more effective and less shortcoming. Ganoderma Lucidum polysaccharides (CLP) is just one. Ganoderma lucidum is a Chinese traditional fungus, whose elements are rich. GLP is one of the most active element, which has been proved to have effect on anti-tumor, anti-radio, increasing DNA and so on. But there are few report about the hypoglycemic effect. In this research, we used diabete rats to observethe hypoglycemic effect of CLP, and its action mechanism was also preliminarily explored.1 Diabetes rats preparation1. 1 Diabetes rats model establishmentAfter one night fasting, SD rats were injected by a 1loxan of 50mg/kg. weight, 7days later, we chose the rats whose fasting blood gluose above 11.1 mmol/1 as Diabetes rats. 1.2 experimental grouping and treatingAccording to their weigh and blood sugar, the SD rats were divided into 5 groups randomly . They are CLP treated group I (0. Ig/kg), CLP treated group II (0. 2g/kg), CLP treated group III (0. 4g/kg) , control group IV and normal V. After 28 days' feeding the rats were killed , then we observed the variation of blood glucose, insulin, liver and pancreas.2 Effect of CLP on hypoglycemic in Diabetes ratsThe results showed that blood sugar content could dramatically increasing in rats which were induced byalloxan and GLP intake reduced the blood sugar, which was dose-independent in certain GLP concentration.3 Effect of GLP on blood insulinThe results showed that blood insulin level was a remarkably reduce induced by alloxan and GLP could significantly increaseblood insulin, which hinted us that intake GLP can promote rats' pancreas to secrete insulin.4 Effect of GLP on liver glucokinaseThe results showed the GK activities in Diabetes rats were much lower in spite of GLP intake than in nor ma 1 rats. But among the GLP groups , the higher intake GLP , lower blood sugar.5 Effect of GLP on liver glucogenThe results showed that there were no significant difference between GLP and control group.6 Effect of GLP on alloan induced B cell damageHE dyeing showed that B cells in island of normalrats arrange in order, their nucleus are clear and nucleolus distinctness, but the matched control mess was different very much, the cells there were irregular and most of nucleolus were metamorphose, in other three CLP treating groups B cells had been some way improved.Immunity-issue chemist dyeing showed that in normal rats the production of immunoreaction was rich, their color is dark, which took up the most area of pancreas i sland.conelus ionGLP has dramatic hypoglycemic activity, it can promote insulin secretion through recovery the B cells which were damaged by alloxan and improve the liver glucokinase activity.
