Objective To investigate the relationship between the concentration of azole antifungls and the induction of resistance of Candida albicans. Methods The resistance and cross-resistance of Candida albicans to azole antifungls were induced by fluconazole, itraconazole and ketoconazole at 1/2 MIC, 2 MIC, 4 MIC and 8 MIC. Results No resistance and cross-resistance to azole antifungls was induced at 1/2 MIC and 2 MIC level. While at 4 MIC and 8 MIC level, resistance and cross-resistance were induced. Conclusion The concentration or dose of azole antifungls is related to the induction of resistance and cross-resistance of Candida albican.
