| Objective: The pathogeny and pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy are unknown , and the relationship between IgA nephropathy and Leukocyte Antigen(HLA) is also controversial .To evaluate relationship between HLA and IgA nephropathy in Guangxi Chinese Han nationality. Methods: Case-control study, HLA-DR4 and HLA-DR12 gene in IgA nephropathy group (n=30) and normal controls(n=60) in Guangxi Chinese Han nationality were investigated by Polymerase Chain Reaction-Sequence Specific Primers (PCR-SSP) technology. Results: The frequency of HLA-DR12 in IgA nephropathy group was significantly higher than those in the control group (P=0.001,relative risk(RR)=4.571);compared with patients of negative alleles ,the frequency of proteinuria and persistent macrohematuria with proteinuria were significantly higher in IgA nephropathy patients with HLA-DR12 genotype (P<0.05, RR=8.750 and RR=7.313,respectively).Mesangial proliferation , capillary ,tubular and interstitial lesions , IgM deposit in the masangium were more severe in HLA-DR12-position patients than in HLA-DR12-negative patient(P>0.05) .Conclusions : The results suggested that allele gene HLA-DR12 may contribute to the susceptible alleles of IgA nephropathy in Guangxi Chinese Han nationality .HLA-DR12 genotype could predicate malign clinical presentation and serious pathology presentation. |
