[ Objective ] Aim to analyze the relationship between the gene expression patterns and the state of differentiation of human glioma and discuss the molecular mechanisms of malignant progression of human glioma.[ Methods 3 1. Functional classification of the gene expression profiles associated with inducing differentiation of human glioma cells. 2. Collected 26 operational glioma tissues diagnosed by pathologists. To classify them with WHO-grade system. 3. To detect the gene expression patterns by Dot Blot in glioma specimens of different grade.[Results] There are 8 genes expressed in high rate in all glioma specimens regardless of WHO grade; 14 genes expressed in high rate accompany with the malignant progression of glioma, meanwhile, 6 genes expressed decreased with the increasing of the malignancy of glioma, and there are 68 genes non-expressed or expressed in low level regardless of WHO grade of glioma. By retrieving in GenBank, wedefined the function of 96 genes, which were associated with cell cycle, montochondria. differentiation, oncogene and suppressor oncogene. We found 3 genes(DIPK RPS7 CLK2)which were associated with the malignancy progression of human glioma .[Conclusion] 1. We found 14 genes which were associated with malignant progression of glioma based on Dot-Blot methods; 2. Found 8 genes which were associated with the malignancy of glioma; 3. And found Selenoprotein P, Ubiquitin-like protein, Human interferon gamma treatment inducible genes were expressed in low level accompany with the malignant progression of glioma .
