Objective: To observe the clinical value of Tian Ma Granules in post radical resection treatment for colorectal cancers, to provide more aduanced and clinical basis for its development and application .Methods: This stualy was divided into near future curative effect studying and long term curatives effect studying In the near future curative effect studying: In the treatment group 10 patients were treated by Tian Ma Granules (TMG), while 10 cases in the cotrol group by FMC chemotherapy, adopting physical status of patients, immuication and CEA as index In the long-term studying, we summarized 47 cases (inclding 25 cases in the treat ment group and 22 cases in the control group) follow-up treatment of postoperative. Adopting the survival rate, the medium survival time and recurrence rate of Cancer as index.Result: 1. After treatment the survival rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control (P<0.05); the mediun surivival time in the treatment group was longer than that in the control (P<0.05), the recurrence rate of cancer in the treatment group was lower that in the Control(P<0.05).2. After treatment the physical status of patients in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.01); The immune function of patients in the treatment group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05 or PO.01); The results also showed the TMG having little toxicity and side effects. Conclusion: In the postoperative treatment of colorectal cuncer, the effect of Tian Ma Granules in regulating immune function , anticancer, reducing recurrence rate of cancer and prolonging suruiual time was better than those with chemtherapy.
